Abstract:
Methods, systems, and media for detecting usage of a radio channel are provided. In some embodiments, methods for detecting usage of a radio channel are provided, the methods comprising: collecting noise samples on the radio channel from a radio receiver; determining a noise empirical cumulative distribution function using a hardware processor; collecting signal samples on the radio channel from the radio receiver; determining a signal empirical cumulative distribution function using a hardware processor; calculating a largest absolute difference between the noise empirical cumulative distribution function and the signal empirical cumulative distribution function using a hardware processor; and determining that the radio channel is being used when the largest absolute difference is greater than a threshold using a hardware processor.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and media that implement a boosted classifier having a plurality of weak hypotheses that produce a classification, each of the plurality of weak hypotheses having at least one weight; receive testing data; receive at least one piece of training data subsequently to receiving the testing data, calculate corrective terms for correcting a sum of weights of correctly classified training data and a sum of weights of incorrectly classified training data, calculate the sum of weights of correctly classified training data and the sum of weights of incorrectly classified training data based on the corrective terms; modify the at least one weight of at least one of the plurality of weak hypotheses in response to the at least one piece of training data based on the sum of weights to produce modified weights, and classify the testing data based on the modified weights to produce a classification.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for controlling traffic on a communication network are provided. In accordance with some embodiments, methods for controlling traffic on a communication network are provided, the methods comprising- receiving, at a processor in a receiver, a query message for permission to send a data flow to the receiver; sending a permission message from the receiver; defecting that at least one of a message and a data packet being sent to the receiver has been dropped; and causing the path for sending the data flow to be changed.
Abstract:
Circuits that operate with power supplies of less than 1 Volt are presented. More particularly, circuits that operate with supply voltages near or lower than the threshold voltage of the transistors in those circuits are presented. Various circuits and embodiments such as operational transconductance amplifiers, biasing circuits, integrators, continuous-time sigma delta modulators, track-and-hold circuits, and others are presented. The techniques and circuits can be used in a wide range of applications and various transistors from metal-oxide-semiconductor to bipolar junction transistors may implement the techniques presented herein.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for feature selection are described. In particular, methods and systems for feature selection for data classification, retrieval, and segmentation are described. Certain embodiments of the invention are directed to methods and systems for complement sort-merge tree (CSMT), fast-converging sort-merge tree (FSMT), and multi-level (ML) feature selection. Accurate and fast results may be obtained by the feature selection methods and systems described herein.
Abstract:
An embodiment of an electronic apparatus may include one or more substrates, and a controller coupled to the one or more substrates, the controller including circuitry to control access to NAND-based storage media that includes a plurality of NAND devices, determine if a current workload for a particular NAND device of the plurality of NAND devices is a random write workload, and, if so determined, disable a program suspend operation for only the particular NAND device. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
Abstract:
Railcars are provided, the railcars comprising: a bed; and at least one frame containing at least one solar panel that is moveably attached to the bed such that, in an opened position, cargo can be loaded onto the bed, and such that, in a closed position, the at least one frame at least partially covers the cargo. In some of these railcars, a first frame of the at least one frame has a first top portion that is parallel to the bed and two first side portions that are on opposite long sides of the bed, that are parallel to each other, and that support the first top portion.
