Abstract:
The present invention is a bridge truss that alleviates tensile and compressive stresses applied to an acoustic stringed instruments soundboard from the bridge. These tensile and compressive stresses are transferred through the bridge truss to chamber of the acoustic stringed instrument instead. The bridge truss allows the support brace of the acoustic stringed instrument to be reduced or eliminated. The bridge truss provides the soundboard with the ability to produce longer sustained vibrations, and vibrations of greater amplitude - increasing performance and tone. Also, the relative height of the soundboard can be altered for greater playability, at a user's discretion. A user only needs to reposition threaded adjustment rods from atop the bridge of the acoustic stringed instrument in order to transfer more or less stress to the bridge truss.

A game controller comprises a top casing, a bottom casing, a circuitry board, and a plurality of rechargeable batteries. The top casing comprises different type of control components, at least two speakers and a plurality of solar panel. The bottom casing comprises a locking mechanism, plurality of trigger buttons, headphone jack and a USB port. A handheld device can be inserted into the present invention and secured from the locking mechanism. The handheld device can be connected to the present invention wirelessly with a control application or a USB data cable can be used. The different type of control buttons and the trigger buttons controls the input commands of the present invention.

A wheel lifting block apparatus includes a climbing block such as of rubber having a block abutting surface for placement against a tire tread and has a block traction surface facing outwardly from the tire tread; and block securing means for mounting the block on the circumferential tread surface of a tire after the tire has become embedded in a depression in a viscous surface to grip the viscous surface while lifting the tire relative to the viscous surface so that tire rotation causes the tire to climb out of the depression and advance to stable terrain. The block securing means preferably includes a strap slot extending through the block; and a strap having first and second strap ends and passing through the strap slot and having a length sufficient so that the first and second strap ends can wrap around a segment of a tire and through an opening in a vehicle wheel.

A thermally broken hollow polycarbonate sheet or vessel for day- lighting or sky-lighting applications. The hollow polycarbonate sheet comprises of an internal cavity walls that are thermally broken by thermal breaks and, or, a continuous thermal break component. The hollow polycarbonate sheet is a two sheet component. The two sheets are connected by means of the thermal break or breaks. In another embodiment, the hollow sheet is a one part sheet. Panels can be connected in series.

A method of treating post-operative induced constipation in a patient includes the steps of (a) providing a solution comprised of glucose 50% in sterile IV solution; (b) adding a predefined amount of regular insulin to the solution; (c) adding a predefined amount of potassium to the solution, wherein the predefined amount of potassium is based on the serum potassium level of the patient; (d) administering the solution into the patient at a predefined infusion rate; (e) monitoring the electrolyte level of the patient at a predetermined time after administration of the solution; and (f) decreasing the infusion rate based upon determined bowel movement in the patient.

The present invention relates to an aqueous mucoadhesive and bioadhesive composition for the treatment of mucosal diseases, and the use of these compositions to coat mucocutaneous surfaces, such as those in the oral cavity, nasal cavity, gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts, eye, vagina, and bladder, etc. to prevent and/or treat mucosal diseases and disorders, including those which are painful, ulcerative, inflammatory, and/or erosive. The dosage forms are compositions sufficiently used to coat a wide area of the mucosal surface, but are also bioadhesive and mucoadhesive useful to provide prolonged retention on the surface of the mucosa. The compositions from liquid to solid may be used without a known pharmaceutically active compound. One or more pharmaceutically active compounds may be included in the formulation to provide additional benefit in the topical treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the mucosa, or for drug delivery through the mucosa to the systemic circulation.

A method of environmental sensing through pilot signals in a spread spectrum wireless communication system is provided with a plurality of wireless terminals. The plurality of wireless terminals includes a plurality of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radars and at least one base station. The plurality of terminals broadcasts a beacon pilot signals containing a terminal-specific information and encoded with a corresponding identifier. Using the corresponding identifier, an arbitrary radar from the plurality of MIMO radars separates the beacon pilot signal from an ambient signal. More specifically, the arbitrary radar compares the ambient signal to the corresponding identifier of each wireless terminal to identify at least one origin terminal. Subsequently, the arbitrary radar extracts the terminal-specific information from the beacon pilot signal of the origin terminal. The terminal-specific information is used to exchange data between the plurality of wireless terminals for autonomous driving.

The accessing of network connectivity with a portable computing device begins with the search for at least one proximal network router within a connectivity range of the portable computing device. An unverified identification is routed from the proximal network router through the portable computing device to the remote server. The unverified identification is compared to the router identification for each network router with the remote server in order to identify the router identification of a matching network router from the plurality of network routers. The router password of the matching network router is routed from the remote server through the portable computing device to the proximal network router. Communication access for the proximal network router is granted to the portable computing device. The portable computing device is free to perform computer functions within a secure wireless communication signal.

An adjustable architectural frame uses multiple length-adjustable support beams and a pair of panel-connecting mechanisms to function as a framework for mounting architectural panels of varying size and construction. The support beams of the adjustable architectural panel include width-adjustment beams and height adjustment beams. The width-adjustment beams and the height-adjustment beams are preferably telescopic beams that have lengths which can be increased or decreased. These beams are terminally connected to create a quadrilateral frame that has physical dimensions which can be modified as a user desires. Additionally, the adjustable architectural panel makes use of the pair of panel- connecting mechanisms to mount various types of architectural panels onto the adjustable architectural frame. For example, the pair of panel-connecting mechanisms can be tracks along which an accordion door runs. Alternatively, the pair of panel-connecting mechanisms can be rods which support a sheet of material that is played out from a reel.
