Abstract:
A seal assembly for a wax motor or the like provides an elastomeric seal, fitting against an actuator shaft that may slide through the elastomeric seal, where the elastomeric seal has mold flash regions that are displaced from the contact area between the shaft and the elastomeric seal significantly increasing elastomeric seal life.
Abstract:
A mis-fuel inhibitor (MFI) assembly is configured to prevent an improper fuel nozzle from dispensing fuel into a fuel tank. The assembly may include a main body having an MFI nozzle passage formed therethrough. The main body is configured to allow a proper fuel nozzle to pass through the MFI nozzle passage, and prevent the improper fuel nozzle from passing therethrough. The assembly may also include at least one securing member configured to connect to the main body within a fuel fill line. The securing member(s) is configured to securely retain the main body within the fuel fill line.
Abstract:
A tube-holding assembly may be configured to securely route at least one tube member from an engine compartment across a structural firewall to a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The assembly may include a tube support body and at least one rotation-preventing extension. The tube support body is configured to securely hold the tube member(s). At least one tube support passageway is formed through the support body. At least a portion of the tube member(s) is configured to be securely retained within the tube support passageway(s). The rotation-preventing extension(s) outwardly extending from the tube support body proximate to the tube support passageway(s). The rotation-preventing extension(s) is configured to prevent the tube member(s) from rotating with respect to the tube support body.
Abstract:
The disclosed embodiments include several embodiments of a mass flow controller and methods for configuring a mass flow controller. For example, in one embodiment, the method includes automatically displaying a current configuration parameter, such as, but not limited to, a MacID and/or baud rate, in response to receiving power, from an external device, at a communication interface, such as, but not limited to, a near-field communication interface and/or a universal serial bus communication interface of the mass flow controller. The method adjusts the configuration parameter based on user input and stores the configuration parameter in memory while being powered by the external device.
Abstract:
A system for re-configuring a welding system provides the ability to download applications to a welding power source or system, and to store the configuration data and applications to one or more of a series of welders, thereby simplifying configuration and re-configuration of power sources.
Abstract:
A hybrid welding system is provided. In one embodiment, the welding system includes an engine-driven generator, an energy storage device, a contactor, and a controller. The controller may be configured to control delivery of weld power from the generator when a commanded output is below a threshold level, and from both the generator and the energy storage when the commanded output is above the threshold level. Closing of the contactor enables the energy storage device to contribute to weld power during welding operations and to be charged by the generator output independent of charging between weld operations. Additional hybrid welding systems and methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Methods of storage and/or retrieval of items from storage racks using carts include electronically determining a size of an item and determining a storage position in a row for the item based on the determined size. The size can be determined by reading indicia on the item and consulting a database to determine a size of the item based on the read indicia. Other methods include electronically determining a characteristic of an item and determining a load movement limit protocol for the item based on the determined characteristic. The protocol may limit velocity or acceleration of movement of the item.
Abstract:
A welding system includes a power source configured to generate power and deliver the power to a welding torch. The power is provided in accordance with an electrode negative pulse welding regime that includes a cyclic peak, followed by a stabilization phase, then a return to a background level. The stabilization phase has a generally parabolic current shape, and is performed in a current-closed loop manner until a transition point, where control becomes voltage-closed loop until the background level is reached. Resulting weld performance is improved, with a globular-like transfer mode, reduced shorts and enhanced arc stability.
Abstract:
A clip assembly (10) is configured to securely connect a tubular member to a structure. The clip assembly may include a base (12) connected to first and second lateral walls (14), and a tube cradle (20) connected to the base and the lateral walls. The tube cradle defines a tube-receiving channel configured to receive the tubular member. First and second tube-retaining locking arms (32) are configured to securely retain the tubular member within the tube-receiving channel. The first and second tube-retaining locking arms are configured to flex toward the first and second lateral walls respectively, as the tubular member is inserted into the tube-receiving channel The first and second tube-reining locking arms securely connect to the first and second lateral walls respectively, when the tubular member is received within the tube-receiving channel to securely retain the tubular member within the tube-receiving channel.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a portable industrial air filtration device employing an annular dual filter assembly to capture and remove impurities from the air surrounding the air filtration device, enabling the air filtration device to quickly and efficiently improve the quality and safety of the air. The air filtration device includes a two-piece housing including a lower housing component and a locking cover removably attachable to the lower housing component. The dual filter assembly is mounted within the housing between the locking cover and the lower housing component, and includes a removable self-supporting outer pre-filter surrounding a separately removable inner HEPA filter. The pre-filter initially filters the surrounding air by capturing relatively large or coarse impurities, and the HEPA filter further filters the air pulled through the pre-filter by capturing relatively small or fine impurities.
