Abstract:
A personal fall arrest system capable of automatically transmitting a distress signal to an emergency responder in the event of a fall by a user. A personal fall arrest system having features of the present invention can comprise a fall safety apparatus having a lanyard, a transmitter attached to the lanyard, and a means for automatically activating the transmitter in the event of a fall by a user. In the event of a fall by the user, the transmitter will send a distress signal to a receiver optionally located in the user's vehicle. This distress signal is then transmitted to an emergency responder for purposes of initiating an on-site rescue and retrieval.
Abstract:
A retractable fall arrest device comprises a unit housing, a spring sub-assembly, a brake/clutch sub-assembly, and a drum assembly. The spring and brake/clutch sub-assemblies each include shaft portions which extend into the housing and are removably connected together or to the drum assembly, and support the drum assembly in the housing. The spring and brake/clutch assembly are themselves removably connected to the unit housing. Finally, the unit housing comprises two wall members (i.e., clam shells) which are removably connected together. This fall arrest device allows for replacement of any of the four constituent components of the device in the field, thus reducing the down time between repairs or recertification of a particular fall arrest device.
Abstract:
The present invention is pertaining to a self-releasable safety belt (1) for a motorcycle or equivalent vehicles, characterised by a strap (2) including a first end and a second end, a retractor (3) receiving the first end of said strap (2) for stowing and locking the strap (2), a detachable joint (4) coupling the first end of said strap (2) to the rear of the vehicles, a male connector (7) coupled to the second end of said strap (2), a female connector (8) including a pair of releasing devices (9), a mounting device (10) coupling the female connector (8) to the rear of the vehicles, and a U-bracket (11) affixed on the mounting device (10) and having two arms (12) protruded towards the pair of releasing devices (9). The male connector (7) is ejected from the female connector (8) when the releasing devices (9) contact the arms (12) with force. Said safety belt (1) is able to hold the wearer in place, and self-releasable and detachable to disentangle the wearer when the vehicle falls from an upright position to the left or right side after an abrupt halt or impact.
Abstract:
Herein are disclosed fall-protection safety devices comprising a load-bearing housing comprised of a composite polymeric material, and also comprising a load-bearing anchorage plate connected to the load-bearing housing by at least one load-bearing connector.
Abstract:
An anti-vibration protection tape (1, 1 '), adapted to be wound on a grip (H) of sports and recreational equipment pieces, such as a bicycle handle or tennis racket, comprises a central member (2) made of a first elastically-deformable base material having length (L), width (W) and maximum thickness (S). The central member (2) has substantially parallel longitudinal edge portions (5, 6) with respective thicknesses (s1; s2) gradually decreasing towards the margins (7, 8), and such portions (5, 6) are at least partially superimposable. The edge portions (5, 6) have a substantially rectilinear profile on the side of the upper surface (3) of the tape (1 ) and a shaped profile (9, 10) on the side of the lower surface (4). The shaped profiles (9, 10) have substantially complementary form and respective thicknesses (s-i, s2) such that the sum of the single thicknesses (s-i, s2) results less than or equal to the maximum thickness (S) of the central member (2).
Abstract:
Herein is disclosed a preassembled and pretorqued friction brake comprising at least a pressure plate, a ratchet ring, a friction ring, and a backing plate. Further disclosed is a centrifugally-operated safety device comprising the preassembled and pretorqued friction brake, and methods of making.
Abstract:
A vacuum anchor for securing a fall protection system to a surface has a gas inlet to receive pressurised gas from a gas container and generates a vacuum to secure the anchor to a surface. An attachment enables a fall protection system to be connected to the anchor, the attachment being rotatably mounted to the anchor. A container mounting device is provided for mounting the gas container to the anchor in connection with the gas inlet, the container mounting means being rotatable with the rotatable. Alternatively or additionally, the gas inlet is coaxial with the axis of rotation of the attachment means.
Abstract:
A fall protection system that includes at least one rail section, at least one shuttle and at least one connecting member is provided. The at least one rail section is configured and arranged to be coupled to a structure that changes in length. The at least one shuttle is configured and arranged to movably engage the at least one rail section. In addition, the at least one connecting member is configured and arranged to provide a connection point to the at least one shuttle.
Abstract:
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Verdrillschutzanordnung (100, 1000, 1800) zum verdrillgeschützten Führen von Verbindungsmitteln.
