Abstract:
A telecommunication energy management system comprising a server configured to receive circuit current values identified with a respective piece of telecommunication equipment from a plurality of central boards located at respective telecommunication sites. The server integrates the received circuit current values and provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to allow a user to audit energy usage of each piece of telecommunication equipment of each telecommunication site.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a network system and method for controlling same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the network system comprises: a commercial electrical appliance provided with a system for assessing operating costs; and a control device connected to said commercial electrical appliance so as to be capable of communicating therewith. Regarding information on the operation of said commercial electrical appliance, a display unit enabling remote monitoring is included in said control device.
Abstract:
A system manages consumption of power supplied by at least one electric utility to multiple power consuming devices. Power flow to the power consuming devices is enabled and disabled by controllable devices controlled by one or more client devices. According to one embodiment, a group of one or more client devices to which to communicate a power control message is determined. The power control message indicates at least one of an amount of electric power to be reduced and an identification of one or more controllable devices to be instructed to disable a flow of electric power to one or more associated power consuming devices. The power control message is communicated to the determined group of client devices to initiate a power reduction event. Subsequent to initiation of the power reduction event, a determination is made that at least one controllable device has prematurely exited the power reduction event.
Abstract:
Users that access their personal information from a home computer typically only need access to data, and do not need to remotely control the desktops of their home computers. By providing a remote access server that coordinates access to the file system of a user device, such as a home computer, a remote device, such as a mobile phone, can send commands to the user device. The remote device sends requests including commands to the server. The user device periodically requests these commands from the server. An application on the user device processes these commands, and in response provides the requested information to the server. The server responds to the requests from the remote device with the requested information from the user device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a network system. The network system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first component that can carry out a preset function and has a first unique code; and a second component that exchanges information with the first component to communication link to the first component, and has a second unique code, and when a command for communication linking is inputted in the first component or the second component, a connection signal is generated from the component with the inputted command, and a communication address and unique codes of each of the components are exchanged between the one component that generated the connection signal and the other component that receives the connection signal, and the network system is converted to communication link stand-by status when information exchange between the first component and the second component does not occur within the preset period of time.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method a system for managing one or more voice mails in a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) network. In one embodiment, a method includes providing a notification indicating receipt of one or more voice mails to one or more Telephony Control Points (TelCPs) through a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) home network and providing one or more voice mails to the one or more TelCPs. The method further includes providing a list of one or more voice mails to the one or more TelCPs. The method also includes deleting one or more voice mails from a telephony server (TS). Furthermore, the method includes composing one or more voice mail containing emotional symbols and depositing the one or more voice mails in a voice mail server. Moreover, the method includes recalling one or more voice mails deposited in the voice mail server.
Abstract:
A universal demand-response remote-control device for controlling a control unit of a ductless, split air-conditioning system. The remote-control device includes a long-distance communications module and includes a local communications module. The remote-control device also includes a processor in electrical communication with the long-distance communications module and the local communications module.

Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention relates on a network communication node receiving data and comprising a plurality of processors aimed at processing said data at a given layer of communication so as to route them towards a given destination. The node determines at least one layer of communication for processing the received data. The node selects a given number of processors to process the data according to the determined layer of communication, switches the selected processors in an active mode to process the determined layer of communication applied to the received data, and switches the selected processors in low consumption mode once processing carried out.
Abstract:
To improve Wake on LAN (WOL) functionality of a device, a Media Access Control (MAC) address filtering function (306) may be implemented in the device's Ethernet physical layer (ePHY) block (308). When the ePHY (308) detects a WOL frame, the MAC filtering function (306) in the ePHY (308) may perform address comparison between the MAC address associated with the device (300), and the MAC address contained in the WOL frame. Performing the MAC address comparison within the ePHY (308) allows the main system components, such as the main SOC (302) and other components to remain in standby mode (or sleep mode) until a MAC address match has been determined. Therefore, the main system components do not need to be rebooted every time the device (300) receives a WOL frame, only when there is a match between the MAC address of the system and the MAC address contained in the detected WOL packet.
