    Abstract: An absorbent web includes a web body defining a machine direction along a length of the web body. The web body includes a first major surface, a second major surface, a first region, a second region, and a third region. The web body further includes a plurality of first slits disposed in the first region, a plurality of second slits disposed in the second region, and a plurality of third slits disposed in the third region. Each first slit is inclined from about 65 degrees to about 115 degrees relative to the machine direction. Each second slit is inclined from about 65 degrees to about 115 degrees relative to the machine direction. At least some third slits are substantially parallel to or inclined obliquely to the machine direction. At least some third slits are inclined to each of the first and second slits.
