Abstract: Described herein are systems for detecting a representation of an object in a radio frequency (RF) image. The system transmits one or more first RF signals toward an object, and receives one or more second RF signals, associated with the one or more transmitted RF signals, that have been reflected from the object. The system determines a plurality of first feature maps corresponding to a RF image associated with the one or more second RF signals. The system combines the plurality of first feature maps. The system further detects a representation of the object in the RF image based at least in part on the combined plurality of first feature maps.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for relabeling items. A computing device is communicatively coupled to a scanning device, a printing device, and an inventory system. The computing device identifies at least one of the items as missing an expected label type, the expected label indicating a location where the item should be stocked. The system scans the item via the scanning device, queries the inventory system to determine a location for the item. The system prints, via the printing device, a label indicating a location where the item should be stocked in the retail facility, applies the label to the item and sorts the item, via the sorting apparatus, to transport the item to one of the outlets based on the location indicated on the label.

Abstract: Described in detail herein is an autonomous object storage and retrieval system. In one embodiment, an object storage and retrieval system includes a computing system hosting a service application and in communication with a database and storage and retrieval apparatuses configured to store and dispense physical objects. Each storage and retrieval apparatus is in communication with the computing system. The computing system can transmit instructions to a first one of the storage and retrieval apparatuses to render the status of the first physical object on the interactive display of the storage and retrieval apparatus.

Abstract: Radiation detector systems are disclosed that include scintillating optical fibers arraigned in a bundle, the bundle having a first end and a second end. The scintillating optical fibers are arraigned to receive incident radiation associated with a radiation source, emit photons in response to the incident radiation, and transport the photons to a first end and a second end of a respective one of the plurality of scintillating optical fibers. The radiation detector systems further include an asynchronous detector array positioned relative to one of the first end or second end of the bundle to detect the photons. The radiation detector systems further includes direction circuitry configurable to calculate a direction of the radiation source relative to the radiation detector system based at least in part on the direction of travel of an electron or other charged particle associated with the incident radiation source.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are provided for processing items within an automated storage and retrieval device. A scanned machine-readable identifier associated with an item is received at an automated storage and retrieval device. A determination is made whether the machine-readable identifier that was scanned is a container identification (ID). The machine-readable identifier is identified based on pre¬ defined criteria when the machine-readable identifier is determined not to be a container ID. The machine-readable identifier is mapped to an existing order using stored order information. A container ID is created by the fulfillment system and passed back to the automated storage and retrieval device. The item is stored in the automated storage and retrieval device using the created container ID.

Abstract: Described in detail herein is object storage and retrieval system. Each of multiple storage towers can store and dispense physical objects. The storage towers can be an octagonal prism-shaped housing, a shelving unit disposed within the housing, and one or more receptacles defining one or more openings in the housing. A loader disposed in the housing of each storage tower, can transfer one or more of the physical objects between the one or more receptacles and shelves of the shelving unit. An intermediate transport apparatus disposed external to the storage towers and positioned between two or more of the storage towers, can be aligned with one of the one or more receptacles of each of the two or more storage towers. The intermediate transport apparatus can transfer the one or more physical objects between the two or more towers via the one or more receptacle.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for targeted advertising. One or more images of individuals in a location in a facility are captured with an imaging device. Face detection is performed on the one or more images. Based on a face detection result, Convolutional Neural Network models are used to determine a gender and estimate an age of each detected face. A targeted audience is determined, based on pre-determined criteria using the age estimation and gender identification of each detected face. A relevant advertisement is selected for the targeted audience for display on a display device. The relevant advertisement may be selected based at least in part on a footfall score ( f score ) indicative of customer traffic in the facility.
