Implementations generally provide simulated audience reactions to performers on camera. In some implementations, a method includes receiving a video of a target user from a target client device. The method further includes providing the video to a plurality of audience client devices. The method further includes receiving raw audience feedback from the plurality of audience client devices. The method further includes providing simulated audience feedback to the target client device based on one or more predetermined audience feedback policies, wherein the target client device provides the simulated audience feedback to the target user.

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for multimodal audience detection and identification. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a signal strength value selector to select a portion of a set of signal strength values associated with advertising packets from a device associated with a user, the advertising packets captured by a multi-axis receiver on a plurality of different signal polarizations, a signal strength calculator to calculate a first representative signal strength value based on the selected portion of signal strength values, and a presence determiner to determine a presence of the user based on whether the first representative signal strength value satisfies a threshold.

본 발명은 시청률 산출 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 상세하게는 셋탑박스의 채널 전환 데이터를 가공하여 실시간으로 가구당 시청률을 조사할 수 있는 시청률 산출 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 시청률 산출 장치는 각 가구에 설치된 셋탑박스들과 네트워크를 통해 연결된 영상 관리 서버의 시청률 산출 장치로서, 상기 셋탑박스들로부터 채널 전환 데이터를 수신하는 수신부와, 상기 채널 전환 데이터를 가공하여 셋탑박스별 시청이력 데이터를 생성하고 생성한 셋탑박스별 시청이력 데이터를 가공하여 채널별 시청이력 데이터를 생성하는 시청이력 데이터 가공부와, 한 가구에 귀속된 셋탑박스가 2개 이상이면 1개로 계산하여 전체 셋탑박스의 개수를 확정한 후, 상기 채널별 시청이력 데이터 및 전체 셋탑박스의 개수를 이용하여 특정 시간대의 시청률을 계산하는 시청률 계산부를 포함한다.

A system can receive, via a network, at an online platform hosting a plurality of community pages respectively associated with influential individuals, an access request from a first user to access the online platform, where each community page is associated with a respective influential individual, and where the respective community page comprises a listing of items and services provided by the respective influential individual, in response to providing access to the first user, the system can receive from the first user, via the network, an information request. And based on the information request, the system can provide, via the network, the information to the first user.

본 발명에 따르면, 시청자가 채널을 선택한 후 해당 채널로부터 이탈하는 행위를 기초로 생성된 서비스 제공 정보를 이용하여 방송 서비스의 반송률을 측정하는 반송률 측정 장치를 제공할 수 있다. 예컨대 방송 서비스의 특정 채널에 관련된 반송률을 측정하거나, 특정 수신기에 관련된 반송률을 측정하거나, 방송 서비스를 통하여 제공되는 특정 컨텐츠에 관련된 반송률을 측정할 수 있다. 또한 측정된 방송 서비스의 반송률들을 기초로 보다 효율적으로 방송 서비스의 품질을 평가하거나 시청자의 관심 사항을 파악할 수 있다.

Systems and methods for more effectively obtaining and understanding a person's responses to a survey, poll, or questionnaire, specifically for persons providing a response using a mobile device (such as a smartphone). In some embodiments, a user of a mobile device may be provided with a survey or poll and asked to respond by using a gesture, a combination of a gesture and an audio input, a combination of a gesture and a key press, etc. The provided gesture may be one or more of a swipe (left or right, up or down), movement of an indicator along a scale, selection of one of a limited number of choices, etc. Survey taker response data and/or associated metadata may be used to determine which of a set of possible actions or events to present to the taker after completion of the survey.

According to aspects of the invention there are provided a computer-implemented method for distributing content from one or more content sources over a communications network to a plurality of users by a master node of a content distribution system, the content distribution system further comprising a plurality of local nodes in communication with the master node, each local node serving a group of users from the plurality of users, the method comprising: maintaining a content directory associated with a plurality of content items of the one or more content sources, the content directory comprising content location data for the plurality of content items and information associated with each of the content item; transmitting the content directory to one or more of the local nodes; maintaining a user profile bank comprising one or more user profiles for each of the plurality of users; and transmitting the user profile bank to one or more of the local nodes for use in generating, at each local node, user content location data for each user in the group of users based on selecting a plurality of content items from the content directory according to a user profile of said user, the user content location data including locations of the selected content items, wherein the user content location data for each user is transmitted to a content player associated with said each user for use in retrieving the corresponding content items from the one or more content sources for seamless playback of the selected content items.

A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, operations including identifying a presentation of a first media item. From sensing data, a behavior of an audience member and a characteristic of an environment in a vicinity of the audience member are determined. A tuning status is monitored by which the media processor remains tuned to a first media item or tunes away to a second media item. A first correlation value is determined between the characteristic of the first audience member and subject matter of the first media item, and a second correlation value is determined between the characteristic of the first audience member and the characteristic of the environment. Responsive to the second correlation value exceeding the first, a determination is made that the environment, not the subject matter being presented in the first media item, is responsible for the tuning status. The processor is configured to provide a result of processing a first event that includes a speech of a user to the image processing apparatus in response to the first event being received from the image processing apparatus, store a record of the first event in the storage according to processing of the first event, determine a relation between the first event and a second event that includes a user input by a non-speech method in response to the second event being received from the image processing apparatus, and process the second event based on the record of the first event stored in the storage in response to the relation.
