Abstract: See-through, touch-sensitive displays are provided. More particularly, in some embodiments, apparatuses are provided, comprising: a controllable transmittance film; a transparent display panel; a clear panel; a touch sensitive overlay; and a hardware processor coupled to the controllable transmittance film, the transparent display panel, and the touch sensitive overlay, and configured to cause the controllable transmittance film to switch between a first state in which the controllable transmittance film is non-energized and a second state in which the controllable transmittance film is energized. In some of these embodiments, the transparent display panel is positioned between the controllable transmittance film and the clear panel. In some of these embodiments, the clear panel is positioned between the transparent display panel and the touch sensitive overlay. In some of these embodiments, the apparatus is positioned on a vending machine. In some of these embodiments, the apparatus is positioned on a refrigerator.

Abstract: Mechanisms for controlling traffic to an Internet of Things (IoT) device are provided, the mechanisms comprising: identifying a first IoT device having an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a Media Access Control (MAC) address; sending a first Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) broadcast on a local area network (LAN) indicating that the IP address of the first IoT device is to be associated with a MAC address of a router on the LAN; receiving first traffic on the LAN; extracting the IP Address of the first IoT device from the first traffic; determining that the first traffic is allowed; and forwarding the first traffic to the first IoT device by inserting the MAC address of the first IoT device in the first traffic and re-broadcasting the first traffic.

Abstract: Mechanisms for molecule design using machine learning include: forming a first training set for a neural network using, for each of a first plurality of known molecules, a plurality of input values that represent the structure of the known molecule and a plurality of functional property values for the known molecule; training the neural network using the first training set; proposing a first plurality of proposed molecules, and predicting first predicted functional property values of the first plurality of proposed molecules that have the desired function property values; causing the first plurality of proposed molecules to be synthesized to form a first plurality of synthesized molecules; receiving first measured functional property values of the first plurality of synthesized molecules; and adding data regarding the first plurality of synthesized molecules to the first training set to form a second training set and retrain the neural network using the second training set.

Abstract: Circuit for wake-up receivers are provide. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include self-mixers that receive a gate bias voltage. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include a low frequency path connected to the output of the self-mixer. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include a high frequency path connected to the output of the self-mixer. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers are configured to receive an encoded bit stream. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers are configured to wake-up another receiver.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for detecting abnormalities in equipment that emit ultrasonic energy into a solid medium during failure are provided. In some embodiments, devices for monitoring a piece of equipment are provided, the devices comprising: a piezo microphone having a signal output; a mechanical structure acoustically coupling the piezo microphone to the piece of equipment; a hardware processor configured to: receive intensity signals based on the signal output of the piezo microphone; perform a fast Fourier transform on the received intensity signals to produce a set of output band values for each of a plurality of frequency bands; average at least some of the output band values to produce an average value; and calculate a sum of at least some of the output band values; and a transceiver that transmits the sum to a remote device.
