Abstract: The invention concerns a method of applying a cord-like plastics profiled member along the edge of a pane of glass (for a motor vehicle), in particular by extrusion from an extrusion nozzle which is moved along the edge and has a profiled opening. In order to be able to change the cross-section of the plastics profiled member (2) easily, a jet (4) of a liquid or gaseous medium is directed onto the profiled member (2, 3) at least in sections and before the plastics material (2) has cured.
