    摘要： An unloading device for a continuous sterilizer of liquids packed in plastic bags includes an unloading station (11) that is positioned beyond a reversing wheel (12) of the conveyor (9). The conveyor (9) bends around the reversing wheel (12). At the bend (15) of the conveyor (9), there is a concentrically bent closing-off element (19) to temporarily close off the carrier openings which are facing downward at the time. The closing-off element (19) in the bend of the unloading station (11) is provided with a number of rollers (20) positioned parallel to the carriers (14) and connected to a drive wheel for rotating the rollers (20) with a circumferential velocity corresponding to the advance of the conveyor (9). After the carriers (14) pass the closing-off element (19), the bags drop from the carriers (14).

The invention permits delivery of fractional doses to a patient in quantities which are directly proportional to the time period since the last dose or fraction thereof was delivered to the patient. In the preferred embodiments the apparatus includes a housing (58) including a casing (88) and a back plate (86), the housing containing a control switch (84) for opening and closing downstream conduit (62) and for depressing a floating plate (100) that thereby compresses a dose reservoir (90) with the beneficial agent (142) therein. A spring (124) biases the control switch (84).

    摘要： A self-checking timer (10) usable with a host system includes a clock and a plurality of interconnected counters (14), (24), (26), and (28). During a power-up phase, the timer generates a system reset signal and counts the counters in a predetermined sequence. A flip-flop (32) is set and reset during the power-up phase and inhibits generation of the system reset signal. During a normal operating phase, the timer (10) generates a test signal that must be responded to by the host system to continuously inhibit generation of the system reset signal.
