This invention relates to a novel curable organopolysiloxane composition comprising: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in each molecule; (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane in an amount sufficient to provide a value of 1.1 : 1 to 10 : 1 (SiH: alkenyl group) for the molar ratio of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in the organohydrogenpolysiloxane to the alkenyl groups in the component (A), wherein the component (B) consists of the following components (B1) and (B2) at a mass ratio of (B1) / (B2) in the range from 100/0 to 15/85: (B1) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least three silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in each molecule and a silicon-bonded hydrogen content [Si-H] mass % satisfying the following equation: 0 0.5 wherein DP designates the average number of siloxane units in each molecule calculated by the number average molecular weight of component (B1), and said DP is in the range from 5 to 1000; (B2) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom in each molecule, which is different from the component (B1); and (C) a hydrosilation reaction catalyst in a catalytic amount.

This invention relates to a novel silicone emulsion, a water-based anchorage additive thereof and a silicone release coating composition. This invention provides a novel silicone emulsion comprising: (A) silicone compound comprising an anchorage additive for enhancing the adhesion to a polymer film substrate, wherein the anchorage additive is the reaction product of a fluid polyorganosiloxane (A1) containing at least one alkenyl group and at least one silanol group with a hydrolysable silane (A2) containing at least one epoxide group; (B) at least one surfactant; and (C) water. This invention also provides a water-based anchorage additive thereof, and a silicone release coating composition comprising (X1) said novel silicone emulsion and (X2) at least one curable silicone composition, preferably a water-based silicone release coating composition. The curable silicone release coating composition may be applied to a sheet-form substrate and cured to form a release-coated layer having good release property and improved rub- off resistance on the substrate.

A method for the adhesion of a layer of fluorosilicone rubber which is curable using a non-hydrosilylation curing process to a layer of silicone rubber which contains no perfluoroalkyl groups and which is curable using a non-hydrosilylation curing process, comprises the steps of: (i) incorporating either a hydrosilylation catalyst or a siloxane containing at least two silicon bonded hydrogen groups into the fluorosilicone rubber composition prior to curing and; (ii) incorporating the other of the hydrosilylation catalyst or the siloxane containing at least two silicon bonded hydrogen groups into the alternative silicone rubber composition prior to curing; (iii) preparing a mixture compound comprising the products of step (i) and step(ii) and having a weight ratio of the product of step (i) to the product of step (ii) in the range of 40:60 to 60:40; (iv) forming the products of step (i), (ii), and step (iii) into required shapes; (v) bringing the shaped products of step (iv) into contact with the product of step (iii) between the product of step (i) and product of step (ii); and (vi) adhering the shaped products in contact with each other together by curing the products of step (v).
