    Abstract: A locking mechanism to secure a wheelchair while transporting in a vehicle comprises a base with a guide channel adapted to accept a catch pin and has been secured to a wheelchair. The catch pin is guided into the channel by an angled portion of the base. A locking mechanism cooperates with a pivot plate to secure the catch pin within the guide channel. A release mechanism allows disengagement. The guide channel includes a deformation groove that allows the mechanism to operate even when the metal has been deformed through repeated use. Lips are also provided at critical locations to allow free rotation of the parts even when the metal is deformed due to use.

    Abstract: A pretensioner clutch apparatus for a webbing of a seatbelt retractor for use by an occupant in a vehicle has a retractor bracket, a spool pivotally connected to the retractor bracket. A pin connects the spool and bracket. The pin can either be an independent part or part of the spool. The retractor also has a cylinder, a piston and a MGG (Micro Gas Generator) providing the necessary force to move the piston. The pretensioner clutch has an internal member that is fixed with the pin. The internal member has external teeth on its basically round circumference. The external member is elastically connected to the bracket. A connecting member is selected from a group of a cable or a strap.

    Abstract: [0046] A seatbelt system for vehicles for protection of an occupant in the vehicle which has a moveable unit mounted to a vehicle seat. The moveable unit utilizes an actuator to move a moveable member that is removably buckled to an end of an extension plate. The other end of the extension plate is attached to a buckle used to removably attach a seat belt webbing. An actuator having a MGG is used to provide the necessary force to move the moveable unit to a position that helps to safely restrain the occupant in an oblique crash event. In one embodiment, a moveable routing member is used to move the webbing to an activated position to secure the occupant. In another embodiment, a dynamic routing unit is mounted to an upper back portion of the seat to secure the occupant.

    Abstract: An easy-installed auxiliary brake control system (10) for driving practice of an automobile by means of an auxiliary brake actuator (22) and two-component cables (24). The cables have an outer sheath portion (26) and an inner cable portion (28). It connects an auxiliary brake actuator ( 22) to a brake arm (16) of the automobile. The auxiliary brake actuator (22) rests on a floor (12) of a passenger compartment of the automobile, without necessity of being secured to it. When an instructor acts on the auxiliary brake actuator (22), the brake arm (16) is actuated through relative movement between the inner cable portion (28) and the outer sheath portion (26) of the cables. This system is significantly cheaper than prior arts, especially for installation, and damages on the automobile for installation are minimized.
