The invention provides a concentrated detergent composition alkali metal carbonate, alkali metal percarbonate, and a peroxidation catalyst according to formula (I) wherein each L independently is an organic ligand containing at least three nitrogen atoms that coordinate with the metal M; M is Mn or Fe; each X independently is a coordinating or bridging group selected from the group consisting of H 2 O, OH - , SH - , H02 - , O2 - , O 2 2 - , S 2- , F - , CI - , Br - , I - , NO 3 - , NO 2 - , formula (II), SO 4 2-, SO 3 2- , PO 4 3- , N 3 -, CN - , NR 3 , NCS - , RCN, RS - , RCO 2 - , RO - , and with R being hydrogen or a C 1 to C 6 alkyl group; p is an integer from 1 to 4; q is an integer from 1 to 2; r is an integer from 0 to 6; Y is a counter ion; and s is the number of counter ions. The invention also relates to the use of said concentrated detergent composition as a warewashing detergent for the removal of starch soil.

The invention includes a method of conditioning fabrics, comprising contacting fabric with a liquid composition comprising an amino-functional silicone and a quaternary ammonium, and drying said fabric at 200 degrees F or greater. The invention includes a method of conditioning fabrics, comprising washing fabric in a detergent having a wash pH of greater than 10, contacting fabric with a liquid composition comprising an amino- functional silicone and a quaternary ammonium, and drying said fabric at less than 200 degrees F. The invention further provides a method of conditioning fabrics wherein softness, anti-static, and anti-wrinkle properties are imparted to the fabric wherein the conditioned fabric resists yellowing in industrial and institutional conditions wherein the wash pH is greater than 9 and/or the fabric temperature is 200 degrees Fahrenheit or greater.

A method for treating laundry is provided. The method includes steps of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry in a laundry washing machine at a first Ph that favors bleaching properties and at a second pH that favors antimicrobial properties, wherein the first pH and the second pH are different, and draining the bleaching and antimicrobial composition from the laundry. The step of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry can include a step of washing the laundry with a detergent composition for the removal of soil. In addition, the step of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry can preceed or follow a step of washing laundry with a detergent composition for the removal of soil. A bleaching and antimicrobial composition and a laundry washing machine are provided.
