Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stain removing composition and, in particular for removing mud-soil stains from fabrics. It is an object of the present invention to provide an efficacious stain removing for removing particulate soil, in particular benefits on clay soil or mud soil. We have determined that signification benefits on mud stain removal from fabrics is achieved by a stain removing composition having a combination of polymer or copolymer of carboxylic acid or salts thereof and an alkoxylated anionic surfactant in a composition having specific amounts of alkaline agent selected from alkaline inorganic salt, organic salt or mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for bioscouring a fabric based on the use of enzymes. The process provide ready to dye fabric at least equal to similar fabric scoured using a conventional chemical based process. The disclosed process is fast, uses smaller amounts of chemicals, water and energy compared to the conventional process and is therefore a more sustainable process. Further a multifunctional wetting agent is disclosed.
Abstract:
A product comprises a pillow made of a plastics sheet material. The material is porous. The product further comprises particles of a support material contained within the pillow. One or more of the particles of support of the plastics sheet material are reversible impregnated with a detergent formulation.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition that can discharge the color of blood, menstrual fluids, or other organic stains is provided. In particular, the present invention achieves a balance between control of unwanted liquid spreading by lateral wicking on a stained textile fabric to lessen the size of wet spots and maintaining the cleaning efficacy of the composition by means of specific kinds of thickening agents. The composition includes an oxidizing agent such as peroxides, a cell-lysing agent, a chelating agent, an antioxidant, a thickener, and other optional ingredients that are selectively employed to achieve an aqueous based composition that exhibits good shelf stability and stain removal properties. The thickening agent may include a cellulosic or clay material, starch, gum, fatty acid, fatty alcohol, hydrophilic colloidal particles, polyoxyethylene glycol or polyoxyethylene glycol derivatives including fatty acid esters and ethers, or a combination thereof.
Abstract:
The invention is related to mild pretreatment or preparation process as well as combined scoring and bleaching composition for cellulose-based textile material. The process comprises a sequential or simultaneous scouring step with an enzyme composition acting on the non-cellulosic material on outer layers of cellulosic fibers and a reducing bleaching step with a reducing bleaching agent. The reducing bleaching agent is preferably dithionite. In the process no adjustment of pH and temperature are required. The process is environmentally friendly because no causticizing and oxidizing agents are required to achieve the desired lightness and wettability. Due to the mild pretreatment conditions tensile strength of the fabric is better than that achieved with conventional pretreatments.
Abstract:
The invention provides an in-home dry cleaning process carried out in a dry-cleaning machine containing a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent, and comprising the steps of (i) mixing the solvent with a disposable treatment composition to form a dry cleaning composition and subsequently; (ii) contacting a laundry article with the dry cleaning composition. The disposable treatment composition contains a surfactant and/or cleaning agent and water in an amount which is sufficient to give both good cleaning performance and effective fabric care.
