Abstract:
A method for receiving processed information at a remote device is described. The method includes transmitting from the remote device a verbal request to a first information provider and receiving a digital message from the first information provider in response to the transmitted verbal request. The digital message includes a symbolic representation indicator associated with a symbolic representation of the verbal request and data used to control an application. The method also includes transmitting, using the application, the symbolic representation indicator to a second information provider for generating results to be displayed on the remote device.

Abstract:
A computer-implemented method for advertisement distribution includes receiving, in a computer system, an input from an advertiser that has previously registered an advertisement for on-demand activation. The input is generated based on the advertiser having an immediate availability and directs the computer system to initiate the on-demand activation substantially in real time with receiving the input. The method includes determining, using the computer system, a geographic location of the advertiser that corresponds to the immediate availability. The method includes defining, using the computer system, a target group to which the advertisement is to be presented, the target group identified based on at least the geographic location and the immediate availability. The method initiates the on-demand activation using the computer system, for receipt of the advertisement by at least part of the target group, the on-demand activation initiated substantially in real time with receiving the input.
Abstract:
A system for a context-independent framework for management and execution of XML processing tasks is provided. The XML processing tasks are executed by a module, herein referred to as the XSA Engine, according to a predefined set of instructions provided as electronic documents written in a special purpose, XML-based, programming language. The instruction sets contain references to, and control the execution of, instances of three classes of processing modules, which independently accomplish an XML processing subtask and jointly accomplish an XML processing task. The framework is decoupled from any specific execution context, meaning that standardized XML processing can be applied in almost any desired application. The special purpose programming language enhances productivity for development of XML processing tasks as compared to using general purpose programming languages, and diminishes the need for writing custom code to link different types of XML processing subtasks to accomplish an XML processing task.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for communication of data between a WEB server and a device using a wireless application protocol, such as a WAP mobile phone. The invention further relates to a method of dynamic, cheaper and faster conversion of data between a first and a second format compliant to the WEB server and the device.
