Abstract:
On the initiation of a program control in order to meet a requirement, a small-part container (6) has to be removed from a store (7). A gripping unit of the loading and unloading installation (10) and the store (7) are moved in relation to one another, so that the gripping unit is led to the location of the small-part container (6). The container is removed and placed in a preparation position, after which it is brought by a transport installation (9a) to the removal opening (8) in the component assembly table (5). The return is effected by another transport installation (9b). The small-part container (6) can be brought to any desired empty location. Its position is stored by the program control in order to ensure that it can be relocated. The provision of a buffer unit composed of several small-component containers (6) in the region of the transport arrangement ensures continuity and speed in the work process.
Abstract:
The invention concerns belts carrying, in particular, SMD components in order to feed them to pick-and-place component handlers or similar machines. Such belts have at one side a track with regularly spaced guide holes. The invention calls for a band-like splicing aid with a substrate (10, 20, 30) having at least two parallel tracks (11; 12, 16), one of which (11) has protuberances (15) disposed in the same regular array as the guide holes (5) in the belt while the other track (12) has at least one detachable adhesive strip (13, 17). The substrate (10, 20, 30), with its protuberances (15), is used directly to join two belts together and is subsequently pulled off. When a splicing aid of this kind is used, no other devices are necessary.
