Abstract:
A modular tooling apparatus (10) having serrated teeth (22) for providing orbital and linear adjustment of a modular tool (12). The modular tooling apparatus (10) includes a mounting member (16) and a base coupling (18) having mating contoured surfaces (22) for providing linear adjustment of the base coupling (18) relative to the mounting member (16). A spacer (22) is provided having contoured surfaces (70, 74) wherein the contoured surfaces (70, 74) matingly and adjustably connect to a contoured surface (64) of the base coupling (18) for rotational adjustment of the modular tool (12) about a longitudinal axis (84). The modular tool (12) has a contoured surface (76) that matingly and adjustably connects to the contoured surface (74) of the spacer (22) for rotational adjustment about the longitudinal axis (84). A biasing member (92) engages the spacer (22) and the modular tool (12) for biasing the spacer (22) toward the base member (18) and away from the modular tool (12).
Abstract:
An adapter assembly for use in an automated handling equipment system includes a first component and a second component that is selectively mountable to the first component. At least one first code member is associated with the first component and at least one second code member is associated with a second component. The at least one first code member and the at least one second code member have a variable orientation relative to each other that controls whether the second component can be mounted to the first component.

Abstract:
A gripper assembly includes at least one gripper jaw (32a, 32b) and an actuator head (50) linked with the at least one gripper jaw. An actuator (30) selectively operates to move the actuator head between a plurality of positions. A support (36) is fixed relative to the actuator and includes a guide slot (44) that guides the actuator head. One of the actuator head or the guide slot includes a channel (46) and the other of the actuator head or the guide slot includes a guide member extending there from at least partially into the channel.
Abstract:
A gripper assembly has an extended position and a retracted position. The gripper assembly includes a first jaw and a second jaw that are each coupled for movement of a range of motion. The range of motion of each of the first jaw and the second jaw is independently adjustable from the range of motion of the other of the first jaw and the second jaw.
