Abstract: A removable electronic device (101) and a corresponding host device (102) where the removable electronic device (101) includes a first electronic circuit (106) and a communication interface connected to the first electronic circuit and configured to communicate with the host device (102) and the host device (102) includes a corresponding communication interface (107). The removable electronic device includes at least one magnetic or ferromagnetic element configured to be magnetically coupled to at least one corresponding magnetic, ferromagnetic or electromagnetic element (110) in said host device (102). When the devices are magnetically coupled to each other they can communicate over the communication interfaces. A recessed area (104) in the surface of the host device (102) and the shape of the removable device can ensure that the removable device (101) is protected from accidentally being dislocated.
