    Abstract: An interchangeable tag for attaching to an item for automatically identifying the item, including: a base with a small footprint for attaching to the item at a first end of the base; an identification head with a larger footprint that is attached to the item by the base at a second end of the base; wherein the identification head wirelessly accepts communication queries and transmits identification information related to the item; and wherein the base is attached to the tool by a technological process that requires use of an attachment tool by a skilled user and the identification head is attached to the base after attaching it to the item by a simple process that is performed without requiring an attachment tool.

    Abstract: Apparatus for identifying and providing for the retrieval of information relating to an individual, comprises an adhesive layer and a machine readable device secured to said adhesive layer. The machine readable device is encoded with identification information. A first quantity of ink deposited on said adhesive layer is arranged to provide a physiologically perceptible and humanly understandable visual indication of information relating to set individual.     Abstract: Various embodiments of RFID switch devices are disclosed herein. Such RFID switch devices advantageously enable manual activation/deactivation of the RF module. The RFID switch device may include a RF module with an integrated circuit adapted to ohmically connect to a substantially coplanar conductive trace pattern, as well as booster antenna for extending the operational range of the RFID device. The operational range of the RFID switch device may be extended when a region of the booster antenna overlaps a region of the conductive trace pattern on the RF module via inductive or capacitive coupling. The RFID switch device may further include a visual indicator displaying a first color if the RFID switch device is in an active state and/or a second color if the RFID switch device is in an inactive state.
