The fixings (5) comprise a facade anchor part (10) for fixing to the facade panel (1) and extending therefrom, a frame part for fixing to the support frame (2), and an intermediate connection part between the facade part (10) and the frame part. The intermediate connection part facilitates differential movement as a result of differential thermal expansion and contraction between the facade panel (1) and the support frame (2). The connection part comprises a bracket (20) which is of generally Z shape and comprises a first arm (21) having a fixing hole for mounting the facade panel fixing part (10) and a second arm (23) having a fixing hole for mounting the frame fixing part.

    摘要: An insulating panel (1) comprises a profiled translucent first sheet (2), a second sheet (4) with an insulating body, in this case an insulating foam (5) therebetween. The foam may be a polyisocyanurate foam or a phenolic foam. The sheet (2) is of a polycarbonate material which is relatively strong and durable. A solar collector (10) in the form of a flexible photovoltaic material is provided between -upper sheet (2) and the insulation body. The solar collector may extend into the upper sheet profiles (3) or may be laid in strips (20) along and/or across the sheet (2). The solar collector is protected by the top sheet.

The spacers 10 are of top-hat form with mounting legs 41 for mounting to the skin 3 and a support 40 to which side edge clips 20 are mounted. The clips 20 have spaced-apart formations 21 that engage in corresponding side edge recesses 22 of tiles 5. The top hat spacers 10 space the tiles 5 apart from the skin 3 of the panel so that the tiles 5 define with the skin 3 ventilation passageways 30 which can remove moisture.

    摘要: The panel 1 comprises a steel skin or backing tray (2) and an external steel skin (3) with a layer of foam insulation material (4) such as a phenolic or polyurethane based foam material therebetween. One of the skins, in this case the external skin 3 has a plurality of mountings for fixing cladding elements such as tiles (5) to the panel to form a cladding. The mountings comprise rails (10) and fasteners (12) for fastening the rails (10) to the external skin (3). Each fastener (12) comprises an internal clamping sleeve (15) and a bolt (16). A hole is first drilled through the skin (3) and the sleeve (15) is inserted. On tightening of the bolt (16), the sleeve (15) splays and is clamped against the inside surface of the external skin (3), and the rails (10) are fixed to the panels. To enhance the peel strength of the composite panel a layer (30) of an adhesive is applied to the internal face of the external skin (3). The adhesive layer (30) is a pre-lay-down adhesive which is compatible with the material of the insulting core (4). The use of such an adhesive greatly enhances the peel strength of the panel and enables the panel to carry the additional load of the cladding tiles.

    摘要: A facade / wall system comprises a number of modules. Each module comprises a plurality of insulating panels (1) which have connection means on opposite sides thereof for interengaging the panels (1) together at joints (2) between the panels (1). Reinforcing elements in the form of top hat sections (3) bridge the joints (2) between adjacent panels (1). The top hat reinforcement elements used to interconnect adjacent panels in a module ensure that the composite panels act together as monolithic structure that creates a diaphragm whilst providing a surface to which cladding can be fixed and also providing a cavity between the panels and the cladding attached to the modules. They stiffen the panels and thereby enhance resistance to deflection. The reinforced panels create a wall that distributes its own self weight, as a diaphragm, to the points of no deflection, at the building columns. The modules are pre-fabricated and readily craned into position on site, allowing the building to be rendered weather resistant by mounting the modules in place from the inside of the building. The system is cost effective and relatively easy and quick to install.

    摘要: An insulated panel comprises a generally flat external facing 2. a profiled internal decking sheet 3, and an insulating core 4 between the external facing 2 and internal sheet 3. The internal sheet 3 is typically of steel material. The core 4 is of polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foam material which fills the space between the facing 2, and the sheet 3. The panel 1 is generally used for a flat or low pitch roofing system. The outer flat facing 2 may comprise a weather membrane or may have a prebonded weather membrane such as a plastics membrane, for example of polyvinylchloride. In this case the PVC membrane is heat sealed at the panel joint when assembled on site. The outer facing 2 may alternatively comprise a prebonded bitchumen type membrane to which a further bitchumen type membrane may be applied on site. The outer facing 2 may also not have a prebonded weather membrane. In this case, a weather membrane such as a PVC membrane may be applied on site. The internal sheet 3 has profiled joint-forming portions for connecting adjacent panels, on assembly. One side edge of the insulating core 4 has a first step 23 which defines a projecting part 20 and the opposite side edge has a step 24 which defines a recess part 21. The projecting and recess parts 20, 21 interengage an assembly of adjacent like panels.

At least a portion of the side edges (21, 22) of the insulating core (4) between the joint forming portions of the external sheet and internal lining sheet has an inclined wedge profile. The inclined wedge profiles of the side edges (21, 22) of the insulating core (4) form oppositely directed wedge faces. A side edge (22) of the insulating core (4) of one panel (20A) is matched with the opposite side edge (21) of an adjacent panel (20B). On assembly, a first overlap portion (30) of the panel receives a second overlap portion (31) of the adjacent panel. A joint reinforcing plate (40) has a downwardly extending locator defined by a projection (41) which is located in a gap (35) at the joint to ensure that the reinforcing plate (40) is accurately positioned relative to the joint. The plate (40) has holes (42, 43) to receive joint fasteners (44, 45).
