Abstract:
The invention relates to a multi-layer pressure pipe (20) of a plastic material. The multi-layer pressure pipe (20) is formed by using as the extruder an extruder (10) which cross-orients the reinforcement fibers in the extruded material in the successive layers (21, 22, 23, 24), and the material extruded is a polyolefin which contains long-fiber reinforcements.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a gas-sealed material, containing polyolefin and polyvinyl alcohol. The material is manufactured by mixing in molten state 1 to 99 per cent by weight of polyolefin and 99 to 1 per cent by weight of internally plasticized vinyl alcohol polymer, and optionally 1 to 15 per cent by weight of a plasticizing agent.
Abstract:
A multilayer pipe with improved resistance to rapid crack propagation is described. The pipe consists of at least two, preferably three layers of different polyolefin plastic materials, which are so selected and combined that the pipe has resistance to rapid crack propagation, measured as the critical temperature, which is the lowest temperature at which a crack initiated in the pipe propagates a distance in the pipe of at most 4 times the diameter of the pipe, which is lower than the weighted average value of the critical temperatures of single-layer pipes of the individual plastic materials included in the multilayer pipe and having the same dimension as this. The pipe preferably has a critical temperature below -15 DEG C and consists of olefin plastics, such as polyethylene plastic and polypropylene plastic.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a strong thermoplastic-based pipe, its structure, and a method for its manufacture. A pipe according to the invention is made up of a thermoplastic-based core pipe onto which there is connected seamlessly a composite material made up of reinforcement fibers and a thermoplastic.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a gas-sealed material, containing polyolefin, polyvinyl alcohol and amide. Said material is manufactured by mixing in molten state 3 to 60 per cent by weight of polyolefin, 10 to 96 per cent by weight of internally plasticized vinyl alcohol polymer, and 1 to 50 per cent by weight of polyamide.
Abstract:
Procedure for manufacturing a tube of insulating material comprising one or several inner tubes (17), a foamed plastic insulation (18) and a plastic surface layer (16). In the procedure, foaming material is conducted to encircle the inner tube (17), and similarly plastic raw material to form the surface layer (16), and around the inner tube (17) are formed the foamed plastic insulation (18) and the surface layer (16) simultaneously in one work step. The surface layer (16) is cooled to desired dimension in a calibration means (14) in which a calibration pressure is produced by the foaming process, the release of this pressure being prevented by the plug which the foam forms as it solidifies. Control of the calibration pressure is effected by regulating the foam raw material supply and the temperature of the raw material.
