A polymer composition comprises a thermoplastic polymer, a polymer additive selected from the group consisting of nucleating agents, clarifying agents, and combinations thereof, and a fluoropolymer. A molded article comprises at least one wall defining a cavity, the wall having an opening therein permitting access to the cavity. The wall comprises a polymer composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, a polymer additive selected from the group consisting of nucleating agents, clarifying agents, and combinations thereof, and a fluoropolymer. A method for molding a polymer composition is also provided.

A curable coating composition includes: (a) a polymer including at least two active methylene functional groups; (b) a polyisocyanate crosslinker; and (c) a transition metal catalyst. Substrates at least partially coated with these coating compositions are further disclosed. Methods for preparing the coating are further disclosed. Multi-layer coatings including these coating compositions are further disclosed.

The present invention concerns aqueous polymer compositions comprising a water soluble hydrophilic polymer with poly(ethylene oxide) content higher than 50% by weight and a polyacrylic thickener containing sulfonic groups. The aqueous polymer compositions of the invention are useful as deflocculants, rheology modifiers and water retention agents for paper coating compositions.

La présente invention se rapporte à une composition comprenant : de 33 à 40% en poids d'au moins une polyoléfine réticulée obtenue à partir d'au moins un produit (A) comprenant un époxyde insaturé et d'au moins un produit (B) comprenant un anhydride d'acide carboxylique insaturé, de 3 à 10% en poids d'au moins un plastifiant, le complément en au moins un polyamide semi-aromatique, les teneurs pondérales en (A) et (B), notées respectivement [A] et [B], étant telles que le rapport [B] / [A] est compris entre 3 et 14. La présente invention se rapporte également à un procédé de préparation d'une telle composition ainsi qu'à ses utilisations.

L'invention est relative à des copolymères acryliques souples sous forme de granulés, traités en surface avec une poudre de copolymères acryliques statistiques. Ce traitement facilite le libre écoulement des granulés et leur manipulation. L'invention a trait également à un procédé de traitement de granulés de copolymères acryliques destiné à limiter ou prévenir le mottage et à faciliter l'écoulement libre des granulés.

A process for encapsulating pigment dispersions is provided where a pigment is dispersed with a polymeric dispersant in an aqueous solvent system. The free polymer dispersant in the pigment dispersion is limited to less than 0.12 grams per gram of pigment. This dispersed pigment is then encapsulated by adding acrylate monomers and optionally acrylic and vinyl monomers and polymerizing. In the encapsulated pigment dispersion the weight ratio of final free polymer to polymer found to the final encapsulated pigment is less than 0.9. The free polymer dispersant is measured by a centrifugation method and the final free polymer is measured by a density gradient centrifugation method. Such encapsulated pigment dispersions may be used in inkjet inks and are stable to heat, aging test conditions, and solvent challenges. Prints from these inks have better durability.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine spezielle Zusammensetzung umfassend A) isocyanatfunktionelle Prepolymere erhältlich durch Umsetzung von A1) aliphatischen Diisocyanaten mit A2) di- bis hexafunktionellen Polyalkylenoxiden mit einem Ethylenoxidanteil von 50 bis 100 mol%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der enthaltenen Oxyalkylengruppen, B) eine wässrige Polyurethansuspensionen, eine wässrige Polyacrylatsuspensionen oder wässrige Kieselsole, insbesondere zur Herstellung von hydrophilen, aliphatischen Polyurethan-Schäumen. Weitere Gegenstände der Erfindung sind ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines hydrophilen, aliphatischen Polyurethan-Schaums, basierend auf der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung, ein nach dem Verfahren erhältlicher Polyurethan-Schaum sowie eine den Polyurethan-Schaum umfassende Wundauflage.
