In order to improve a lever arrangement for handlebar-mounted vehicles, comprising an actuating lever housing (32) which can be mounted on a handlebar (12) adjacently to a handle (16) with a holding section (64) and on which an actuating lever is mounted such that it can pivot about an axis (34), and comprising a setting lever (90) which can be moved by pivoting about a pivot axis (92) from a stable inactive position (15), in which the setting lever (90) is situated on a side of its pivot axis (92) which faces away from the actuating lever (30), into a stable active position (AS), in which the setting lever (90) is situated on a side of its pivot axis (92) which faces the actuating lever (30), and vice versa, in such a way that the setting lever (90) can be moved out of the active position (AS) by a manual actuation which can be carried out simply, it is proposed that the setting lever (90) is mounted pivotably in a setting lever housing (82) which is arranged on the actuating lever housing (32), and in such a way that the setting lever (90) has, in the active position (AS), a finger actuation face (112) which extends at a spacing from the handle (16) and faces the latter, wherein the setting lever (90) performs a pivoting movement which is routed away from the handle (16) and out of the active position when said finger actuation face (112) is loaded.

The connection element (20) has a fastening section (20A) for fastening the hydraulic pipe to the connection element (20), and a connection section (20B) for connecting the connection element (20) to the element of the hydraulic system. The connection section (20) has a ring-shaped zone (24) and at least one extension (25) that extends away from the ring-shaped zone (24), substantially to the side of the ring plane.

In order to provide a master cylinder, in particular for a clutch system, activation system or brake system of a vehicle, which master cylinder can be manufactured at low cost and permits reliable sealing of a cylinder chamber towards the outside and reliable flowing on of hydraulic medium into the cylinder chamber, it is proposed that a piston of the master cylinder comprises a first section which has a cylindrical lateral surface and that the piston comprises a second section which has at least one region which is offset radially towards the inside with respect to the cylindrical lateral surface of the first section, wherein at least one set-back region extends as far as an end side of the piston facing the cylinder chamber, and wherein the first and the second sections are arranged on the piston in such a way that in an activation position of the piston a main sealing element in the first section of the piston bears in a seal-forming fashion against said section, and in a pressure-equalisation position of the piston at least one gap is formed in the second section of the piston between the piston and the main sealing element, through which gap hydraulic medium can run on along the piston into the cylinder chamber from a run-on space in order to equalize the pressure.

An electrical characteristic in an operator-sensing circuit having a microcontroller that commands a charge sensor to send a sensor charge signal to a capacitive sensing element. The charge sensor outputs a corresponding raw data signal to the microcontroller that in turn sends a signal that disables the motor of a unit power equipment upon the absence of an operator's hand on a hand-gripping surface of the equipment. Capacitive means for operating within a predetermined charge range that includes preselected values that designate hands-off and hands-on conditions on the hand-gripping surface. The capacitor charge range is effective to distinguish between the presence of an operator's hand and foreign material on the gripping surface for avoiding a false hands-on-signal.

The invention relates to a caliper for a disk brake, especially for motorcycles and/or bicycles, comprising a housing (30) for accommodating brake linings (40) which grip a brake disk during braking. The housing is provided with an abutment area (33) for resting the brake lining during braking in the forward direction of travel as well as an assembly hole (29) which lies across from the abutment area (33) and through which the brake linings (40) can be inserted into the housing (30). The caliper further comprises a mechanism (50) for securing the brake linings on the side located opposite the abutment area (33) in the housing (30) and a device (31) for supporting the brake linings (40) between the abutment area (33) and the mechanism (50) securing the brake linings. The aim of the invention is to create a caliper in which the brake linings can be arranged such that the risk of the brake being spuriously blocked during braking and vibrating during riding is substantially reduced. Said aim is achieved by equipping the caliper with a prestressing device (32) which is embodied so as to prestress a brake lining (40) that is inserted into the housing (30) into a defined position.
