Abstract:
The present invention is related to a device (1) for use in a remotely initiated parking service. The device is arranged for receiving a request for parking a vehicle (4) from a device (3) for initiating a parking session and arranged for triggering a means (2) for determining the location of said device for initiating said parking session. The device comprises a decision module arranged for receiving information indicative of the identity of the vehicle (4) and arranged for receiving location information from a means (2) for determining the location of the device (3) for initiating the parking session, said decision module further arranged for deciding from communication with the device for initiating the parking session or with the means for determining the location whether the device for initiating the parking session is wirelessly coupled with a transceiver contained in the vehicle and for determining, if it is decided there is a wireless coupling, from the received location information whether the device for initiating the parking session is moving.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for determining a geographical location and to related devices where the system comprises an auto-ID enabled geographical mapping means that is adapted to represent a plurality of geographical points, each point of said plurality of geographical points of said geographical mapping means being associated with an auto-ID; and an auto-ID reading means that in turn is adapted to read the auto-ID associated to a point of said plurality of geographical points on the geographical map. Then a resolution means is able to resolve a geographical location of said geographical point related to said auto-ID.
Abstract:
A method for transforming a 2D webpage comprising html elements, into a 3D scene wherein the most interesting html elements for the user appear in the most visible places. To this end, an importance value is associated to each html element and the html element is located into the 3D scene based on location identification derived from the importance value associated to the html element. The importance value of an html element may be defined based on the amount of clicks made on the html element in the 3D scene. One or more avatars may be included into the 3D scene. The location identification may then be based on positions, movements and other actions, or on statistics thereof, of the avatars with respect to the html element in the 3D scene.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Method for browsing a 3 Dimensional Virtual Environment by a client device of a user. This 3- Dimensional Virtual Environment being deployed on an application server where the 3-Dimensional Virtual Environment comprises a 3-Dimensional object with a texture displayed on the 3-Dimensional object. The user is represented in the 3-Dimensional Virtual Environment by an avatar. The method further comprises the step of determining a distance between the object and the avatar by the application server, further determining a reference of a texture for applying on the object based on the distance and a reference of the object subsequently determining the texture for applying onto the object based on the reference of the texture.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Postal package delivery system for forwarding a packet from a sender towards a destination through a postal network where the postal network comprises a plurality of postal nodes for sorting and forwarding the package through said network via at least one node of said plurality of postal nodes towards the destination. The forwarding of the package is based on the address of said destination, where a tag associating device is able to associate a tag of the package flexibly with a physical address of a plurality of addresses of said destination.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an Interactive TV system for forwarding data-stream from a head-end device to a client device. The data-stream includes metadata that is related to content of said data stream. The head end device and the client-device are coupled over a communications network. The interactive TV system comprises a Web Service routing part, that is adapted to invoke, based on the meta-data included in the data-stream, a Web-Service that corresponds to the metadata and adapted to subsequently receive a response from the Web-Service based on the metadata as an input of the web service. Furthermore, an application generating part that is adapted to generate based on the response of the web-service, an application for interacting with a user via the client device.
Abstract:
A terminal device (TD) coupled to a multimedia distribution system (MDS). The terminal device is provided with an interface (IM) having selection buttons associated to sensors (SNS) for allowing a user not only to select multimedia outputs from the multimedia distribution system (MDS), but also for transmitting zapping intentions corresponding to the behavior of the user to a user behavior analyzing device build into the terminal device. The zapping intentions are derived from biometrics Parameters such as pressure, movement, temperature, heartbeat and/or sweat and are translated by the user behavior-analyzing device into behavior parameters that are transmitted to and interpreted by the multimedia distribution system. As feedback, the multimedia distribution system replies with second multimedia outputs with the purpose of orienting or influencing the user in his/her selection choice. As a result, the real intention of the user to zap away from a channel is detected and a qualitative context to the zapping after it occurs is given, thereby allowing to increase broadcast user's channel loyalty.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Media Asset management System for managing at least one media asset maintained by a media asset repository. This system comprises a media asset repository for maintaining at least one media asset and further a user terminal that is adapted to access the media asset repository where the repository is coupled to the user terminal over a communications link. The media asset management system further comprises a media asset feedback detection Part that is adapted to detect feedback of a user at said user terminal on the media asset at managing the media asset by the user terminal and a feedback interpreting part that is adapted to determine an annotation to the media asset managed based on an interpretation/analysis of the feedback on the media asset.

Abstract:
A multimedia distribution system or interactive digital television broadcast system (iDTV) comprising several content providers (CP: CP1, CP2) broadcasting channels of video signals to a user (TV, STB) via a content selector (CS). The broadcast system comprises a user behavior analyzer (UBA) with quantitative behavior classifier (E(w)) able to analyze and to classify the quantitative consumption behavior of the user, and with a qualitative behavior classifier (F(x)) having as output classified user behaviors and prediction on future behaviors of the user. The classifiers are coupled to an opportunities selector (G(y)) that also receives information from additional content providers (ACP: ACP1, ACP2, ACP3). Under control of the opportunities selector G(y), additional content, e.g. advertisements, meta-information, iTV applications, trailers, ... is send to a multimedia data combiner (H(z)) whereby the additional content is published, e.g. by mixing or by an overlay operation on/ over the selected channel. As a result, the end-user gets his broadcast channel adapted with the content that was selected based on his consumption behavior. The role of the qualitative behavior classifier classifying and predicting the user consumption behaviors is different from the role of the opportunities selector defining, predicting and classifying windows of opportunities to publish/ add content from additional content providers; and the interface (I2) between them has an important role as business-to-business (B2B) interface.
