Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for generating a 3 Dimensional model of a certain object. This method first includes the step of determining an object depth representation of the object and the step of generating a texture of the object. Subsequently, a 3-Dimensional model is generated by applying displacement mapping on said object depth representation of said object and subsequently applying said texture onto said 3-dimensional model of said object generated using said displacement mapping.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for determining a geographical location and to related devices where the system comprises an auto-ID enabled geographical mapping means that is adapted to represent a plurality of geographical points, each point of said plurality of geographical points of said geographical mapping means being associated with an auto-ID; and an auto-ID reading means that in turn is adapted to read the auto-ID associated to a point of said plurality of geographical points on the geographical map. Then a resolution means is able to resolve a geographical location of said geographical point related to said auto-ID.
Abstract:
Object codes such as for example bar codes and other codes from objects such as for example tagged retail goods and other products define first, non-individualized information such as for example audio and/or video commercials etc. to be supplied to destinations (24). To increase a number of possibilities, in response to the object codes, second, individualized information such as for example personal pictures and/or movies etc. is supplied to the destinations (24) in case of being authorized to receive this second, individualized information and otherwise the first, non-individualized information is supplied. Authorized destinations (24) receive the individualized information possibly mixed with some or all non-individualized information, where non-authorized destinations (24) will only receive the non-individualized information.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to media streaming, and in particular to devices (1, 2,3) and methods (4, 5) effecting a collaborative delivery of correlated media streams. Inter alia, a synchronizing node (1) is provided, comprising a processor (11) being configured to: establish (41) a synchronization of one or more source nodes (2) with respect to the synchronizing node (1) based on a heartbeat; receive (42) one or more packets from a number of the one or more source nodes (2) in accordance with the established synchronization; process (43) the one or more received packets in dependence of a compliance with the heartbeat; and maintain (44) the compliance with the heartbeat. This provides a collaborative delivery scheme enabling correlated media streams/packets to be delivered and to arrive at their destination "together" to meet the application requirement, without relying on global clock synchronization of all nodes and with minimum delay.
Abstract:
A method for transforming a 2D webpage comprising html elements, into a 3D scene wherein the most interesting html elements for the user appear in the most visible places. To this end, an importance value is associated to each html element and the html element is located into the 3D scene based on location identification derived from the importance value associated to the html element. The importance value of an html element may be defined based on the amount of clicks made on the html element in the 3D scene. One or more avatars may be included into the 3D scene. The location identification may then be based on positions, movements and other actions, or on statistics thereof, of the avatars with respect to the html element in the 3D scene.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Method for filtering the streaming of Virtual Environment content assets, a related system, network element and a related Virtual Environment content asset The method relates to policy enforcement on Virtual Environment assets, forwarded from a Virtual Environment of a plurality of Virtual Environments to a Virtual Environment client. The at least one Virtual Environment is coupled to a communications network comprising at least one network element where the communications network further couples the at least one Virtual Environment to the Virtual Environment client. The method first comprises the step of forwarding at least one Virtual Environment asset from the at least one Virtual Environment towards the Virtual Environment client. The method additionally comprises the step of determining a policy enforcement action for the at least one Virtual Environment asset based on at least one characteristic of the at least one Virtual Environment asset and at least one policy rule.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for Service provisioning in a communications system that comprises a plurality of communications devices, each including a tag reader for reading a tag-identifier from a tag attached to an object and for forwarding this tag-identifier to a service provisioning server. This service provisioning server is coupled to the communications devices over a communications network and the tag having a unique tag-identification. The service provisioning method further includes the steps of forwarding by a communications device of the plurality of communications devices a trigger message including trigger-information at reading the tag-identification of the tag towards the service provisioning server. Subsequently, a service-description of a service based on the trigger-information associated with the service stored in a service-list is determined followed by the executing of the service determined by the service provisioning server based on the retrieved service description.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method, a related system device and related transforming part for communicating a first multimedia communications signal from a first communication device to at least one further communications device over a communications network. This method first comprises the step of the first communications device sending the first multimedia communications signal to at least one further communications device wherein the communications network comprises a network element and where the method for multimedia communications further comprises the step of the first communications device sending a second, non verbal communications signal in addition to the first, multimedia communications signal towards said at least one further communications device and subsequently the step of transforming, by a transforming part, at least part of the second, non verbal communications signal into a predetermined third, multimedia communications signal said third multimedia communications signal being in support of said first, multimedia communications signal. The method further comprises the step of sending, by a transmitting part, the third, communications signal to at least one of the first communications device and the further communication devices in addition to the first, multimedia communications signal.
Abstract:
A method for retrieving a lost entity by means of a cell (A, B;C, D) based wireless telecommunication network is disclosed, comprising :determining a presence probability distribution of the lost entity for a predetermined geographical area (20); and transmitting information of the lost entity to at least one set of predetermined retrieving entities (12), as a function of the probability distribution, by means of the cell based wireless telecommunication network. Related systems, devices and wireless communication networks have also been provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for searching a product (on the internet) where the product is similar to a first product. This system first comprises a product semantics determining part that is adapted to determine the semantics of the first product based on a tag associated to this first product; and further a product semantics interpreting part that is adapted to interpret the product semantics of the first product and generate at least one search criterion corresponding to the product semantics of the first product.
