Abstract:
An electric drill is prevented from operating when failure of electric power during a drilling operation is restored to normal and when breaking of a coil in an electromagnet occurs. When failure of electric power is restored to normal in a state, in which a switch (50) is switched so as to energize an electromagnet and an electric drill, a photocoupler (38) operates to actuate a thyristor (31) and inhibit an on-operation of a transistor (35). As a result, a motor (16) of the electril drill will not operate before the electromagnet does. Also, abnormality of a coil (27) is judged on the basis of that abnormality of electric potential across a resistor (28), which is detected by a potential difference judging circuit (30). When abnormality is detected, the thyristor (31) is actuated and on-operation of the transistor (35) is inhibited. As a result, the electric drill will not operate when its operation is not permitted by the electromagnet.
Abstract:
A spinneret which has a nozzle body made of a plate member and spinning hole making members separate from the nozzle body and secured to mounting holes cut in the nozzle body, characterized in that a space is formed between the inner circumferential surface at the upper end part of the mounting hole and the outer circumferential surface at the upper end part of the spinning hole making member in such a way that the space opens toward the upstream and extends in a ring. While maintaining a desired sealing performance between the mounting hole of the nozzle body and the spinning hole making member, the spinning hole making member can easily and reliably be installed securely in the mounting holes of the nozzle body without causing defects such as undesired cracks, thus allowing a desired spinneret to be manufactured with ease and at reduced cost.

A liquid injection recording head comprising: a support member; an electricity-heat transducing member having a heat resistant layer provided on the support member and an electrode electrically connected to the heat resistant layer; a top protective layer provided for covering the electricity-heat transducing member and containing an ion exchanger; characterized in that a liquid path communicating with a discharge port for discharging liquid, corresponding to a heat producing portion of the electricity-heat transducing member is provided on a substrate for a liquid injection recording head.
Abstract:
A signal processing system for an apparatus which quantitatively measures the ultrasonic characteristics of a medium, such as a human body. Unlike conventional methods, this method permits high-speed quantitative measurement by processing all signals in the time domain. In the process of eliminating errors caused by the fact that the degree of focusing of an ultrasonic beam is a function of the depth in a medium and the frequency, to increase the speed, the frequency characteristics of the ultrasonic beam measured in a non-attenuation substance are converted into a form which is suitable for time-base processing, and the converted frequency characteristics are stored. When a medium is measured, the stored frequency characteristics are successively read out and employed to control the characteristics of a characteristic-variable filter.
Abstract:
A polymer filtering apparatus includes a polymer pipe (12, 112) having a multiplicity of through-holes formed in its peripheral surface, and leaf filters (13, 113) and support members (14, 14a, 114, 114a) which are detachably and alternately laminated one upon another around the polymer pipe. Each leaf filter has a pair of filter members (21, 121) made of a filter medium which cannot bear filtering pressure. On the other hand, each support member has polymer-permeable support plates (25, 25a, 125, 125a) which respectively contact the filter members of the adjacent leaf filters from the outside thereof such as to support the filter members against filtering pressure. Thus, a polymer is filtered by passing from the inside to the outside of each leaf filter through the filter members and the support members. The leaf filters and the support members can be removed from the polymer pipe and, therefore, it is possible to wash them independently of each other.
