Abstract:
To enable smooth circulation of balls without making a ball spline unit large in size and to correctly set a position of a resin portion formed on an outer cylinder to enable unitary forming. Balls (9) are held by a ball chain and at least either of no-load ball passages, retainer portions and an inner peripheral portion of a ball direction changeover passage is formed integral with an outer cylinder by insert molding, in which the outer cylinder is placed in a mold on the basis of load ball rolling grooves.
Abstract:
An endless retainer for a guiding device comprising a multiplicity of rolling bodies disposed at predetermined intervals and adapted to roll on an endless track formed in the guiding device and flexible resin connecting bodies having an interposing portion interposed between the respective rolling bodies and a connecting portion for connecting the interposing portions for holding the rolling bodies in an aligned and rollable state, wherein the resin connecting body is formed by injection molding using a resin having a dimensional changing before and after an oil or water absorption process greater than the molding shrinkage with the rolling body serving as a core, and wherein there are provided gaps between the rolling bodies and the resin connecting body that are formed through the oil or water absorption process, whereby since there is no risk of the rolling bodies coming off, the retainer is easy to handle. In addition, with this configuration, it is possible not only to automatically install the retainer in the guiding device but also to securely provide the extremely smooth rotation to the rolling bodies.
Abstract:
A slide guide such as a linear guide for endless slide, a curve guide, or a turning bearing, particularly of the type in which a roller chain with ends for supporting linear motion or rotary motion is inserted into an endless track. The slide guide comprises a track rail having a rolling path of rollers in a longitudinal direction, a load rolling path opposite to the rolling path, a non-load rolling path for circulating the rollers from one of the ends to the other of the load rolling path, moving bodies moving along the track rail, and a large number of rollers bearing a load, rolling between the moving bodies and the track rail, and circulating in an endless track including the load rolling path and the non-load rolling path. The rollers are rollably arranged in line at predetermined intervals on one or more flexible connecting belts and assembled together with the connecting belts into the endless track of the track of the slide member. The connecting belt circulates with the balls inside the endless track of the slide member while both ends of the connecting belt oppose each other.
