Abstract: A machine for processing sheets for binding the sheets to form a book and a method of manufacturing is provided. The machine includes, a first receiver and a second receiver to receive a main sheet (101) and an auxiliary sheet (103) respectively. The machine further includes a disposer to dispose an adhesive strip (105) to couple the main sheet (101) and the auxiliary sheet (103) and to form a gutter (107) between the main sheet (101) and the auxiliary sheet (103). The distance (g1, g2) between the main sheet 101 and the auxiliary sheet (103) is a gutter-size (g1,g2). The machine further provides an adjuster to adjust relative position of the main sheet (101) and the auxiliary sheet (103) and any one or both of the gutter-size (g1,g2) and width (x1, x2) of the auxiliary sheet (103) based on the position of the main sheet (100) in the book. The first receiver and the second receiver positions the auxiliary sheet (103) adjacent to a first edge of the main sheet (101) and the first edge is proximal to a biding edge of the book.

Abstract: A sheet-processing-machine 100 for processing a sheet of a first-stack 103 of sheets and method of processing sheets and method of manufacturing the machine is provided. The machine is provided with a first-rotary-cutter 113 and a controller. The first-rotary-cutter 113 applies a first-cut 141 on the sheet 101 and cuts a first-strip 111 from the sheet 101. The controller is configured determine width 115 of the first-strip 111 and adjust the relative positions of the first-rotary-cutter 113 and sheet 101 based on the width 115. Each sheet 101 of the first-stack 103 may have a different width 115 and the controller determines the width 115 based on one or more parameter of the sheet 101 and the first-stack 103. The machine further provided a first-hinge-forming-module 130 that applies a second-cut 131 and applies a first-fastener 133 on the second-cut 131 resulting in a first-hinge 137.

Abstract: A feeder having a table (101) and a table surface (105). The table (101) receives a stack of sheets. The stack of sheet has a plurality of sheets which is disposed on the table surface. A plurality of guides (103a – 103c) removably mounted on the table (101). The plurality of guides (103a – 103c) is provided with perforations (119a– 119f). The perforations are in substantially vertical direction from the table surface (105) and are adapted to release ionize air substantially parallel to the table surface (105). An elevator (701, 703, 113) and a blower head (117) is provided to raise edges of a top sheet and to release ionized air below the top sheet. The plurality of guides (103a – 103c) is provided with receivers (109a-109f) to removably receive nozzles (107a – 107f) and the perforations are provided in the nozzles (107a– 107f).

Abstract: A machine and a method of manufacturing the machine are provided. The machine comprises a sensor, a plurality of tools and a processor. The sensor is configured to detect a sheet of a bundle of sheets. The bundle of sheets includes at least a first sheet having a first edge and a second sheet having a second edge, and the sheet is any one of the first sheet and the second sheet. The plurality of tools removably is disposed in a tool housing. Each tool of the plurality of tools corresponds to at least an operation of a plurality of operations, and each tool of the plurality of tools is arranged to perform the operation on the sheet. The processor configured to position the sheet and to selectively actuate at least one tool of the plurality of tools to cause performance of at least one operation at a first location on the first sheet and at a second location on the second sheet, and wherein the first location and second location are determined by the processor based on a first input to obliquely aligned the first edge and the second edge upon aligning the first location and second location.
