Abstract: The invention relates to a method of treating a base metal bearing material for recovering a metal concentrate, by conditioning the base metal bearing concentrate with a slurry having a pulp density of at least 20 % solids in the presence of water whilst maintaining the slurry at a pH of at least 7 for a predetermined period of time and thereafter recovering the metal concentrate.
