    Abstract: A side view fluid meter counter assembly comprises a mounting bracket to mount a mechanical counter to an end of a fluid meter (e.g. gas meter) and a drive mechanism to drive a counter shaft of the mechanical counter from rotational movement of a rotationally driven member of the fluid meter. The rotationally driven member has a drive shaft extending in an end facing direction to connect to the drive mechanism and the mounting bracket mounts the mechanical counter in an orthogonal direction to the end facing direction such that a face of the mechanical counter is viewable from a side of the meter. The drive mechanism may comprise a worm drive. The drive mechanism may further comprise a pair of bevel gears. The mounting bracket further mounts the drive mechanism. Further provided is a fluid meter having a side view counter.

    Abstract: A magnetic sensor assembly for rotary gas meters includes a counter module electronic volume corrector ("EVC"). In one aspect, the assembly includes a magnetic sensor probe configured to be releasably secured within an aperture of a first gas meter body. The sensor probe may alternatively be positioned within an adapter sleeve. The adapter sleeve is configured to be releasably secured within an aperture of a second gas meter body. In another aspect, the counter module EVC includes a base coupling member, and the assembly includes first and second magnetic sensor probes, the probe being configured to be releasably secured within apertures of first and second gas meter bodies, respectively.     Abstract: A multi-functional fitting for piping, tubing or other conduit comprises: a body defining a channel between three ports; a test plug at one port; and a secondary valve at a second port.     Abstract: By implementing a monitoring system to a fluid meter set, the meter set can be monitored for abnormalities including fluid leaks or other system failures as well as gas blend or gas density. A monitoring system that uses sensors such as vibration sensors can detect fluid leaks or other system failures based on abnormal conditions such as vibrations of the meter set. Sensors may be positioned at various locations along the meter set where leakage of fluids or other system failures may be possible. Sensory information detected by sensors are communicated to processing or control unit which can trigger an alarm signaling unit alerting of a potential fluid leak. Such a system of monitoring the integrity of a fluid meter set can help to quickly identify and respond to a fluid leak without necessarily relying on visual or olfactory cues associated with the fluid being leaked.

    Abstract: By implementing an oil monitoring in a rotary meter, the meter can check the oil level, condition and/or both level and condition and report any issues detected such as out-of-limit low oil condition, contamination, etc. The function can trigger a preventative maintenance on the rotary gas meter with a view to improving its longevity. Oil level monitoring may be signalled using sensors such as switches. Oil colour, clarity, aeration and foaming, corrosion, varnish, wear debris, or other quality monitoring may be signalled using sensors such as spectrometers. A rotary meter may be configured with one or more such sensors for (multi-)parameter monitoring and the one or more sensors positioned in respective locations such as at an oil reservoir.

    Abstract: A direction selective unidirectional clutch assembly for a fluid meter counter module assembly is characterized by a drive selector mechanism to couple a direction selection drive shaft to a unidirectional clutch to select one of a first flow direction and a second flow direction of flow of the fluid to drive a counter module. The direction selection draft is coupled to a rotating member (e.g. impeller) driven by flow of the fluid and rotates in a direction that is responsive to the direction of rotation of the rotating member. A pair of gears are mounted to slide along the direction selection draft between a first position and a second position. A direction changing gear is mounted at the second position.     Abstract: A working condition monitoring system for a positive displacement rotary flow meter determines flow rate and differential pressure information for logging to determine a history of such data for a meter in the field. Deviation from good working data established for the meter model may be used such as to indicate maintenance and/or repair needs. Mechanical or other wear in a meter may lead to higher differential pressure measures for a given flow rate (or a lower measured flow rate for a given differential pressure) than is true for a meter in good working order. A corrective factor responsive at least to a current different pressure may be applied to correct a measure of flow rate that is determined in response to a measure of impeller rotation to account for additional flow of gas through the meter that is not driving the impeller(s).
