The appliances include a housing having a seal configured to flex in response to pressure that allows gases, e.g., hydrogen, to vent from the appliance without allowing water to enter. The present invention relates to a device for actuating a unit that actuates household appliances, especially electric razors. Said actuating unit can be driven in a rotatory oscillating manner. The inventive actuating device is provided with a permanent magnet motor which is provided with a stator comprising an exciting winding and a rotor that is arranged in the stator field and is rotationally mounted around a rotational axis. Said rotor is provided with at least one permanent magnet. The inventive actuating device is also provided with a readjusting device which readjusts the rotor into a neutral position in such a way that the rotor can oscillate around the neutral position. The inventive device is also provided with a coupling device which couples the rotor to the actuating unit. Said coupling device is fixed to the rotor at a certain distance from the rotational axis. The inventive device also comprises a detector which detects the oscillatory movements of the rotor and an actuating device which actuates the permanent magnet according to the oscillatory movements thus detected. Frequency control means which have a frequency which corresponds approximately to the resonance frequency of the rotor are provided in order to control the permanent magnet motor.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen elektrisch angetriebener Rasierer und eine zugehörige Ladestation, wobei der an einem am Rasierergehäuse (2) angeordneten Scherkopf (3) zumindest ein antreibbares Scher- oder Schneidteil (4, 5) gelagert ist und wobei zumindest ein elektrisch betätigbares aktives Thermoelement (7) vorgesehen ist, welches mit seiner gegenüber der Umgebungstemperatur abkühlbaren Seite mit einem passiven Kühlelement (6; 16) thermisch gekoppelt ist. Dabei ist das passive Kühlelement (6; 16) mit zumindest einem freien Endabschnitt (20, 21) derart am oder im Bereich des Scherkopfs (3) angeordnet, dass es im Rasierbetrieb mit der Haut eines Anwenders zur Anlage gelangt.

The present invention relates to a lower cutter (4) for a shaving head, equipped with an upper cutter (7), of an electric razor, comprising at least one blade (10) which has a cutting edge (11) pointing in a direction of movement. The invention also relates to a shaving head having such a lower cutter and to an electric razor equipped with it. It is proposed to no longer give the cutting edge the conventional wedge-shaped configuration in which simply two planes inclined at an acute angle define the cutting edge contour. According to the invention, the cutting edge has, one behind the other in the direction of movement (16), at least two cutting edge sections (18,19) having different cutting angles. By means of a cutting angle graduation or a changing cutting angle, an optimum compromise can be achieved between the conflicting requirements of cutting behaviour and edge stability. The cutting edge section having the more obtuse or less acute cutting angle produces the desired cutting edge stability and at the same time provides for a long service life. On the other hand, the cutting edge sections having the more acute angle reduce the cutting forces, such that an improved threading behaviour can be achieved.

The grip portion and the battery cover, when joined, may together define a water-tight unit prior to mounting of the razor head on the grip portion.

Das erfindungsgemässe Schersystem (1) weist wenigstens eine der Schereinheit (4) vorgelagerte Zuführvorrichtung (10) auf und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Zuführvorrichtung (10) relativ zum Obermesser (5) in Bewegung versetzt wird.
