Abstract: In numerous applications of hosing made of plastics material, e.g. the conveyance of fluids, as well as in sealing and damping applications, there exists the problem that hoses installed in curved configurations with too small a radius of curvature can collapse, resulting in a degradation or breakdown of important functions provided by the hose. The device proposed for the manufacture of suitable hose has an injection-moulding die (8) with at least one connection point (13, 14, 15) for a barrel extruder and with a centrally located mandrel (12) round which the moulding material flows. Fitted in one end (9) of the die is a disc (11) which determines the external cross-section of the hose and surrounds the mandrel (12) coaxially at a certain distance. The shape of the mandrel surface matches that of the interior cross-section of the hose. The mandrel (12) and/or the disc (11) can rotate about their common axis (10).
