摘要: A safety barrier comprising is disclosed. The safety barrier comprises a plurality of posts spaced from each other and disposed adjacent to a roadway, each post having a cross section defined in part by a web and a pair of legs extending therefrom. Additionally, each post has one slot formed in the web of the post extending from an upper end of the post. A first cable and a second cable are releasably engaged with and supported by the posts and disposed within each slot between the respective legs of each post. A third cable and a fourth cable are each coupled to an exterior surface of the posts. The posts and the first, second, third and fourth cables cooperate to prevent a vehicle from leaving the roadway.

摘要: Methods of forming microelectronic structures using multilayer processes are disclosed. The methods comprise the use of a developer-soluble protective layer adjacent the substrate surface in a multilayer stack to protect the substrate during pattern transfer. After etching, the pattern is transferred into the developer-soluble protective layer using a developer instead of etching required by previous methods. Conventional developer-soluble anti-reflective coatings and gap-fill materials can be used to form the protective layer. Custom layers with developer solubility can also be prepared. Microelectronic structures formed by the above processes are also disclosed.

摘要: A sprinkler for producing a fixed spray pattern includes an inner flow conduit having a nozzle at an outlet. A filter screen is held in place beneath the nozzle. The filter screen engages a push rod of a valve of a flow stop mechanism. The push rod spaces a valve member away from a valve seat to permit water flow through the inner flow conduit when the filter screen and nozzle are in place. If the nozzle is removed or if the inner conduit is severed, the filter screen can be removed, which causes the valve member to close under the force of water pressure and to shut off flow through the inner flow conduit. The valve is located upstream of parts that are vulnerable to damage.

摘要: The present invention relates to a video camera system, comprising: a video sensor providing image data (2); a low power imminent event detector (6) coupled to the sensor which receives the image data from the video sensor and processes the received image data to detect changes in the image data and thereby detect an imminent event and produces an event signal on detection of an imminent event; and a main event processor (8) also coupled to the video sensor to receive the image data, the main event processor being a higher power device than the imminent event detector, the main event detector having a dormant mode in which the main event detector consumes little or no power and a fully active powered up mode, wherein: the main event processor switches from the dormant mode to the fully active mode in response to the event signal; the main event processor when fully active processes the image data from the sensor and analyses the processed image data to extract information therefrom; and the imminent event detector is arranged such that it does not produce the event signal when the changes in the image data are large, thereby indicating only that the sensor is moving.
