Abstract: In one, two or more wheeler vehicles like bikes, scooter and rickshaw are extensively used in the cities where roads are congested and pollute the atmosphere with petrol, diesel smokes. In order to control this pollution, use of electric power driven vehicles is suggested. For this battery operated hub-motors are used. They are mounted within the hub of the wheel but it is difficult to take off the wheel from the vehicle frame when there is a need to service it. The present invention provides a hub motor assembly which allows demounting and remounting the wheel from the fork of the vehicle with ease.
