摘要: A method of operating a melt system includes melting, flowing, pumping, and replenishing. Hot melt pellets are melted in channels of a melter into a melt liquid that has an upper surface that represents a melt level of the melt liquid in the melter. The melt liquid is flowed downward through the channels to a melt system outlet. The melt liquid is pumped from the melt system outlet. The melter is replenished with hot melt pellets until the melt level is proximate to a top end of the channels.

摘要: The side seal assembly consists of three main components: a hardened and precision ground side seal 12, a spring 14 and a housing 16 in which the side seal 12 and spring 14 are assembled. The side seal contains two tabs 22 that fit through a slot feature 24 in the housing. The tabs 22 on the side seal 12 slide through the housing slot 24 into a relief area 26 that allows the side seal 12 to turn 90 degrees and fall into a shallow pocket 28 that keeps the side seal 12 retained.

摘要: A method of cleaning and flushing a fast-set material spray gun 10 is disclosed which uses, in the preferred embodiment, a mixture of approximately 62.5% DMSO, 32.5% DBE and 5% water. This mixture 12 is non-toxic when atomized and lowers the freezing point of the liquid to below 10°F. Because the solvent is mixed with the purge air and expelled from the gun in atomized form, it is important that a non-toxic solvent be utilized and also important that the freezing point of the mixture be low enough to allow use in colder climates without freezing.

摘要: A hot melt dispensing system includes a hopper, a delivery line, a shaker, and an air supply line. The hopper stores hot melt pellets and the delivery line delivers the hot melt pellets from the hopper. The shaker agitates the hot melt pellets. The air supply line supplies air that flows through the shaker to produce vibration and additionally flows through the delivery line to create a vacuum that draws the hot melt pellets through the delivery line.
