Abstract: A novel core and release liner for a pressure sensitive adhesive film are provided. In one embodiment, a cylindrical core about which an adhesive film is wound includes a compressible layer. In another embodiment, a release liner is provided for use with an adhesive film, that includes a plastic textured surface, such as one that has peaks and valleys. The peaks and valleys may form a matte surface.

Abstract: A protective adhesive film may include a polyurethane sheet and an adhesive layer disposed on at least a portion of a first major surface of the polyurethane sheet. The adhesive layer may comprise a pressure-sensitive adhesive that includes an acrylate polymer and a silicone macromer. The adhesive layer may adhere to a surface of an electronic device without the application of any liquid or additive to the adhesive layer or the surface of the electronic device.
