    Abstract: An apparatus (1) for collecting and disposing of fluid waste from a patient undergoing a medical procedure in an operating room (3) comprises a tank (2) and a conduit (31). The tank (2) is positioned outside the operating room (3). The conduit (31) extends from the tank (2) and into the operating room (3). Fluid waste from the patient is suctioned through the conduit (31) and collected in the tank (2). A method for collecting and disposing of fluid waste from a patient undergoing a medical procedure is also disclosed.
