An oxide superconductor comprising Ln2BaCuO5 and PtBaCuO with a mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 10 νm finely dispersed in the crystal of LnBa2Cu3Oy, wherein Ln represents at least one rare earth element including Y; and a process for producing the same by melting a powdery raw material comprising composite oxides of Ln, Ba and Cu, rapidly cooling the melt to effect solidification, crushing the solid, adding thereto a Pt powder, molding the mixture, heating the molding into a semi-molten state, and cooling the resulting molding.

An annular track (12) for horse-racing is disposed at the center of a horse racing game apparatus (10). Twelve model horses (14) run on the track (12). A gate (18) is disposed in a paddock (20) inside the track (12) and advances to the start position of the track (12) from the paddock (20) at the start of the race. Satellites (22) having twelve seats are disposed on the three sides of the track (12). A large-scale projector (24) for displying the images such as the image of the race is disposed on one of the minor sides of the track (12). Speakers (26) for a live broadcasting, a fanfare, BGM, etc., are disposed on both sides of the large-scale projector (24). The number of horses that compete at one time can be increased and the interest of the development of the race can be further enhanced.

A nerve stimulation apparatus is provided. The nerve stimulation apparatus detects nerve activities from a body surface and applies stimulation. The nerve stimulation apparatus includes a stimulation apparatus with multiple electrodes which are arranged on skin and a current supply unit which supplies a current to the electrodes, which stimulation apparatus provides the current to a living body percutaneously to stimulate a target nerve; a measurement apparatus which measures activities of muscles governed by the nerve according to the stimulation from the stimulation apparatus; and an information processing apparatus which determines, based on a measurement result of the nerve activities obtained from the measurement apparatus, which electrode is capable of providing the target nerve activities equal to or greater than a desired value.
Abstract:
A novel N-acyl-N-(substituted cinnamoyl)ethylenediamine derivative represented by general formula (I) and serving as an antiphlogistic and/or NGF production accelerator, (wherein R represents the acyl residue of a C16 or higher unsaturated fatty acid; R and R represent each independently hydrogen or lower alkyl; and n represents 1 or 2). This compound is expected to be usable as, for example, an antiphlogistic because it has the activities of O2 production inhibitor in human neutrophilic leukocytes and intracellular phospholipase A2 inhibition, and as a remedy for dementia, spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve injury, diabetic neuropathy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis because it has the activity of accelerating NGF production.
