Abstract:
An attachable/detachable recording medium (101) having a region for storing a content and capable of reproducing the content recorded in the region when mounted on a reproducing apparatus. Separately from the region (102) for storing the content, there is provided a region (103) for storing a condition of reproducing the content by the reproducing apparatus. Thus, by recording information for allowing the reproducing apparatus to reproduce a content on a recording medium in advance, a recording apparatus automatically performs coding to the content according to the information recorded on the recording medium and records it on the recording medium. The reproducing apparatus can unconditionally reproduce the content recorded on the recording medium.
Abstract:
3-dimensional image data (400) recorded or transmitted includes 3-dimensional image identification information (401) showing that there exists data relating to a 3-dimensional image. Version information (402), for example, is version "1" containing as control information (403) only the parameter for identifying the image data structure such as parallax barrier method and the lenticular method and version "2" further containing a parameter specifying the parallax amount as the control information (403). Thus, for example, a reproduction apparatus having no parallax amount adjustment function can perform 3-dimensional display if the version is "1" but cannot perform display according to the specified parameter if the version is "2", which can be judged without analyzing the control information (403). Moreover, it is possible to provide profile information (801) for setting parameter values such as the number of viewpoints and the reduction ratio .
Abstract:
An image receiving or reproducing apparatus wherein image data and additive information thereof, which are obtained by utilizing binocular view differences and acquiring thereby a three-dimensional image, are received from a communication line or read from a recording medium, respectively. The image receiving or reproducing apparatus detects the additive information indicative of a predetermined format used for three-dimensionally displaying the image data, and then three-dimensionally displays the image data in accordance with the predetermined format. In the case of the image receiving apparatus, a data reception part (151) receives multiplexed data including the image data and additive information, and a data separation part (152) separates the image data and additive information from each other. Then, a control part (153) causes, based on the additive information, an image conversion part (155) to convert the image data into the three-dimensional image in accordance with the predetermined format. Then, the three-dimensional image is displayed on a display part (156).
Abstract:
3-dimensional control information is created for 3-dimensional display of a main image. By multiplexing the main image, a thumbnail image, and the 3-dimensional control information, it is possible to output the thumbnail image for appropriately checking the image content when the main image is a 3-dimensional image. Moreover, it is judged whether the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image is within the parallax range which can be viewed 3-dimensionally. If 3-dimensional view is impossible, an alarm is issued to a user and the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image can be adjusted. Furthermore, when enlarging or contracting the 3-dimensional image, it is judged whether the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image is within a parallax range which can be viewed 3-dimensionally. When the 3-dimensional view is difficult, the parallax can be adjusted.
