Abstract: A pleated air filter media is provided. The pleated air filter media comprises a plurality of upstream linear bridging filaments that are extrusion-bonded to at least some of a plurality of upstream pleat tips of a fibrous web, and a plurality of downstream continuous -contact filaments that are extrusion-bonded to a downstream face of the fibrous web. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to improved room air purifiers and filtration media for use in room air purifiers. In some embodiments, the room air purifiers and media exhibit excellent filtration of cigarette smoke and/or formaldehyde. Some embodiments include a multilayer filtration media, comprising: a fluorinated electret layer; a sorbent layer adjacent to the fluorinated electret layer; and an optional backing layer having a Gurley stiffness of at least about 200 mg; where the backing layer is not present, at least one of the fluorinated electret layer, the sorbent layer, or the combination of the two layers has a Gurley stiffness of at least about 200 mg. In some embodiments, the filtration media is pleated.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a filtering face-piece respirator and a method of making such respirator are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the filtering face-piece respirator includes a mask body and a harness attached to the mask body. The mask body includes a corrugated filtering structure including peaks separated by valleys, and bridging filaments that are in discontinuous contact with at least one of an interior surface and an exterior surface of the corrugated filtering structure. Some exemplary window air filter assemblies include two u-shaped frame members that can be coupled to form an adjustable frame assembly; and a filter media assembly that is attachable to the frame assembly and that includes an adjustable length media. The window filter assemblies are capable of moving between a collapsed state to an expanded state.
