Abstract:
The present invention refers to a process to improve the thermostability of lubricant oils contained in an internal combustion engine, which process comprises operating the said engine with a fuel containing one or more ashless thermostability boosters selected from aromatic amines, substituted phenols and polycyclic phenolic compounds or mixtures thereof. The present invention further refers to a fuel additive composition and to a fuel composition comprising specific nitrogen-containing dispersants, carrier oils, the said ashless thermostability boosters, and optionally corrosion inhibitors and friction modifiers.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an additive package for a lubricant composition that includes an alkoxvlated amide, an ester, and an anti-wear agent including phosphorus, molybdenum, or a combination thereof. The present disclosure also provides a lubricant composition that includes a base oil, the alkoxvlated amide, the ester, and the anti-wear agent including phosphorus, molybdenum, or a combination thereof. The present disclosure further provides a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine for improving fuel economy.
Abstract:
The use of a complex ester obtainable by esterification reaction between aliphatic linear or branched C 2 - to C 12 -dicarboxylic acids, aliphatic linear or branched polyhydroxy alcohols with 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups, and, as chain stopping agents, aliphatic linear or branched C 1 - to C 30 -monocarboxylic acids or aliphatic linear or branched monobasic Ci- to C 30 -alcohols, as an additive in a fuel.
Abstract:
The use of a polyalkylene glycol of formula HO-(A-O) p -(CH 2 CH 2 -O) m -(A-O) q -H wherein A is a C 3 - to C 20 -alkylene group or a mixture of such alkylene groups, m is a number of from 2 to 100 and p and q are each numbers of from 1 to 100, as an additive in a fuel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of lubricants. In particular, the present invention is directed to the use of lubricant compositions comprising a synthetic ester having an Iodine value lower than 10 g I /100 g measured according to DGF C-V 11b for the reduction of deposit formation.
