Abstract: A dual injection molding method for producing two-material, two-component devices (46, 48). The method includes first, injection molding a first component (46) in one station (22) of a dual injection unit molding machine (10). The first component (46) is then transferred to a second station (24) in the machine (10) and a second component (48) is injection molded over the first component (46) such that the first component (46) acts as part of the mold (24) for the second component (48). The two components are maintainable in a fixed relationship to one another until they are manually separated. One feature of the invention is that a sterile barrier is formed between the first (46) and second (48) components as they are manufactured.
