Abstract:
A system and a manner of handling luggage items, such as in an airport, where the luggage items are stored in a plurality of buffers, where the luggage items of one buffer are provided into one container which is configured for loading into and transport on airplanes. The luggage items may be sorted into the buffers so that e.g. high priority luggage items are stored in containers separate from containers holding lower priority luggage items.
Abstract:
A system (100) for handling of luggage or parcel items, such as at airport sorting facilities comprises a principal sorter conveyor (102) for conveying the items to unloading positions (104). First item buffer sections (108) are provided at each of the unloading positions (104), wherein each item buffer sections (108) comprises a plurality of first shelves for storing, buffering or accumulating a plurality of the items on each shelf. A connecting conveyor (114) extending along the outlet ends of the first item buffer sections (108) is provided for conveying items towards at least one second item buffer section (116). At the second item buffer section (116), the items are offloaded into carts (124) for transportation thereof to aircraft sites.
Abstract:
A conveyor assembly comprises an item conveyor and a connector unit for loading of luggage or parcel items to the item conveyor or unloading of luggage or parcel items from the item conveyor. The conveyor assembly comprises an anchoring element for anchoring the connector unit to the item conveyor. It further comprises a rotation element allowing rotation of the connector unit relative to the item conveyor around an axis of rotation. It also comprises a tilting element allowing tilting of the connector unit relative to the item conveyor. It additionally comprises an alignment element allowing tilting of the rotation element and the axis of rotation relative to the item conveyor.
Abstract:
A conveyor system (100) for luggage or parcel items (150) comprises a continuously drivable conveyor (114) and a pusher (118) for discharging the items (150) from the conveyor. The pusher (118) comprises an arresting element (206) for arresting the items (150) on the conveyor (114), while a movable surface (117) of the conveyor passes below the arresting element (206). A discharge element (202;203) comprising a pusher plate (202) for pushing the item (150) off the conveyor (114) in a direction transverse to a direction of movement of the conveyor (114). The arresting element (206) is movable in an upright direction between an arresting position, in which it arrests items (150) conveyed by the conveyor (114), and an elevated position, in which items (150) conveyed by the conveyor (114) may pass freely under the arresting element (206).
