Abstract:
A glazing panel removal device comprising a winder unit (1) having first and second winder spools (10, 11) for winding a cutting filament (100) and a drive, for driving the winder spools (10). The drive means includes a single or common drive input for driving both the first and second winder spools (10, 11). The drive maybe a rotary input drive, and driving the rotary input in a first rotary direction may cause winding of the filament (100) onto the first winder spool (10) and driving the rotary input in the opposite direction causes winding of the filament (100) onto the second winder spool (11).
Abstract:
Apparatus for use in handling windscreens for example for installation in a vehicle, includes a windscreen anchor assembly (2) comprising a windscreen anchor device and a support arm (16) extending away from the windscreen anchor device. A mount assembly (3) is provided for supporting the windscreen anchor assembly (2). The mount assembly (3) includes a mount structure (11) for engaging with the support arm (16) such that the support arm can slide bodily in its longitudinal direction with respect to the mount structure (11). Additionally, the support arm is dismantable into more than one piece for stowage, the anchor device and a dismantled arm part being provided with means for attaching to one another for stowage.
Abstract:
A shelter structure arranged to be deployed from a stowed configuration above a vehicle to a deployed configuration, having a number of elongate stays for supporting a flexible awning, the stays being movable to fan out from a stowed configuration to a fanned out configuration when deployed. The structure is provided with a mounting permitting the structure to move with respect to the mounting when deployed to selectively cover alternative sheltered zones in a deployed configuration.
Abstract:
A lifting device has an elongate lifting arm provided with a suction mount enabling securing of the device to a body to be lifted. The suction mount has suction devices spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the lifting arm sufficiently for a user to grip the lifting arm in between the suction mount devices. The device extends away from the suction mount, in the longitudinal direction of the lifting arm, to a handle spaced from the suction mount, and which extends upwardly above the lifting arm on the opposite side of the lifting arm to the suction mount devices.
Abstract:
A dispensing system for dispensing cutting wire to be used in a glazing panel cut out procedure has a mounting device with a docking station for docking a wire store device. The wire store device mounts on the docking station in order to dispense the wire. The mounting device can have a rotary means operable to pay out cutting wire from the system. The rotary means is controllable to adjust the applied torque required to operate the rotary means.
Abstract:
A glazing panel cut out system for use with a cutting wire (41) in cutting out a vehicle glazing panel cut out procedure has a dispenser unit (2) for dispensing cutting wire and a winder unit (1) for winding the wire, both being mounted to the glazing panel during use. The winder unit has one or more winder spools (4,5) for winding the cutting wire (41) dispensed from the dispenser (2). The cutting wire is paid out from the dispenser whilst mounted to the glazing panel during the cut out procedure.
Abstract:
A winder unit (1) for winding cutting line (41), for vehicle glazing panel removal, has a rotatable spindle shaft (61) for winding the cutting line (41) and a ratchet device (90) mounted to the spindle shaft (61) by means of a one-way rotational bearing or clutch (75). Typically the ratchet device (90) has a component mounted to rotate in unison with the one-way rotational bearing or clutch. The improvement provides a rotational directional control providing 2 one-way rotational control devices in concert.
Abstract:
A support structure (21) supports a glazing panel in a laid down attitude at a support zone. The structure provides access permitting a technician to move bodily into and/or out of the support zone and/or one or more support elements having a respective locating formation for locating the glazing panel with respect to the support structure such that the glazing panel can be tilted or pivotally moved with respect to the support structure. The structure provides for improved handling of glazing panels.
Abstract:
A glazing panel cut out system for use with a cutting wire in cutting out a vehicle glazing panel cut out procedure has a wire dispenser unit (2) for receiving a spool (4) for dispensing cutting wire the dispenser unit (2) having means for mounting the spool (4) enabling cutting wire to be paid out from the spool. The system also has a winder unit (1) including a spool (4) for winding the cutting wire dispensed from the dispenser unit (2), the winder unit spool (4) enabling the cutting wire to be wound on to the spool (4) during the cut out procedure. The spool (4) is configured to be interchangeably be mounted on both the dispenser unit (2) and the winder unit (1).
Abstract:
A winder unit for use with a cutting wire in cutting out a vehicle glazing panel, the winder unit having first and second spaced winder spools for winding cutting wire and a suction mount for mounting the unit, wherein the suction mount comprises a single suction device only.
