Abstract:
A display article is described herein that includes: a substrate comprising a thickness and a primary surface; a textured surface region; and an antireflective coating disposed on the textured surface region. The textured surface region comprises structural features and an average texture height (Rtext) from 50 nm to 300 nm. The substrate exhibits a sparkle of less than 5%, as measured by PPD140, and a transmittance haze of less than 40%, at a 0˚ incident angle. The antireflective coating comprises alternating high refractive index and low refractive index layers. Each of the low index layers comprises a refractive index of less than or equal to 1.8, and each of the high index layers comprises a refractive index of greater than 1.8. The article also exhibits a first-surface average photopic specular reflectance (%R) of less than 0.3% at any incident angle from about 5˚ to 20˚ from normal at visible wavelengths.
Abstract:
A textured glass article includes: a body comprising an aluminosilicate glass comprising greater than or equal to 16 wt% Al2O3, the body having at least a first surface; and a plurality of polyhedral surface features extending from the first surface, each of the plurality of polyhedral surface features comprising a base on the first surface, a plurality of facets extending from the first surface, and a surface feature size at the base greater than or equal to 10 µm and less than or equal to 350 µm, wherein the plurality of facets of each polyhedral surface feature converge toward one another.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus provide for sourcing a glass web, the glass web having a length and a width transverse to the length; moving the glass web from the source to a destination in a transport direction along the length of the glass web; cutting the glass web, at a cutting zone, along the length of the glass web into at least first and second glass ribbons as the glass web is moved in the transport direction from the source to the destination, such that respective first and second edge surfaces are produced on the first and second glass ribbons; and optically inspecting at least one of the first and second edge surfaces in real-time as the first and second glass ribbons of the glass web are moved in the transport direction to the destination.
Abstract:
The systems and methods include generating polarization-switched (PS) detector and reference signals using a polarization switch controlled by a digital control signal generated by digital input/output card. A gain adjustment is performed on the PS detector and reference signals to define gain-adjusted detector and reference signals. The digital control signal is used to synchronize the gain-adjusted PS detector and reference signals to define gain-adjusted synchronized PS detector and reference signals each having respective steady-state portions. The steady state portions are used to define a measurement signal. The measurement signal is then used to calculate a stress-based characteristic of the sample being measured. The sample can be moved continuously or discretely through different measurement positions, which are synchronized with the operation of the polarization switch using the digital control signal.
Abstract:
A method for measuring resistance of a structure is disclosed, the method comprising (a) providing a structure, (b) providing a contact pin array electrically connected to one or more resistance measuring circuits via a switch, (c) contacting the structure with the contact pin array, (d) with the switch in a first configuration, measuring, with the one or more circuits, the resistance between a first pair of pins in the contact pin array, (e) without repositioning the contact pin array relative to the structure, and with the switch in a different configuration from a configuration of an immediately previous measurement, measuring, with the one or more circuits, the resistance between a different pair of pins in the contact pin array, and (f) repeating step (e).
