Embodiments are directed to catalyst systems comprising: a procatalyst; and a co-catalyst, the co-catalyst comprising: a non-coordinating borate anion having the formula [B(C 6 F 5 ) 4 ] 1- and a cation according to formula (I).
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a catalyst system for use in forming a multi-block copolymer, said copolymer containing therein two or more segments or blocks differing in chemical or physical properties, a polymerization process using the same, and the resulting polymers, wherein the composition comprises the admixture or reaction product resulting from combining: (A) a first olefin polymerization procatalyst, (B) a second olefin polymerization procatalyst capable of preparing polymers differing in chemical or physical properties from the polymer prepared by procatalyst (A) under equivalent polymerization conditions, (C) an activator, and (D) a chain shuttling agent.
Abstract:
Embodiments relate to organometallic compositions that are useful for chain transfer during olefin polymerization. Such compositions are chain transfer agents comprising an organoaluminum compound of the formula Al(CH 2 CH(Y 2 )A 2 ) 3 and an organozinc compound of the formula Zn(CH 2 CH(Y 2 )A 2 ) 2 .
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed to a catalyst system comprising metal ligand complexes and processes for polyolefin polymerization using the metal ligand complex having the following structure: where each X is selected from the group consisting of -(CH 2 )SiR X 3 .
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a capped, multi- or dual-headed chain composition comprising derivatives of a strained olefin. The present disclosure further relates to a process for synthesizing the capped, multi- or dual-headed composition by using an organometallic compound and a co-catalyst in the presence of a catalyst precursor and a strained olefin. The present disclosure further relates to use of the compositions, as well as the process to make the same, in olefin polymerization.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a capped dual-headed organoaluminum composition having the formula (I) and processes to prepare the same. In at least one aspect, the capped dual-headed organoaluminum compositions can be used in olefin polymerization.
