Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining a signal quality of an input signal representing a repetitious phenomena derived from at least one sensor connected to a patient is provided. A detector receives the input signal and determines data representing the repetitious phenomena from the input signal for use in determining at least one patient parameter. A measurement processor is electrically coupled to the detector that determines a first signal quality value by identifying at least one feature of the repetitious phenomena data and compares the at least one feature of a first set of the determined repetitious phenomena data with a second set of the determined repetitious phenomena data to determine a feature variability value and using the feature variability value to determine a stability value representative of the quality of the input signal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for implementation by one or more data processors including acquiring noninvasive blood pressure data using an inflatable cuff applied around a portion of a patient by inflating the cuff to a pressure above the patient's systolic blood pressure, and detecting a first oscillation pulse within the cuff during a deflation step. The method also includes acquiring electrocardiogram (ECG) data from the patient by detecting an ECG waveform corresponding to a first heartbeat using an ECG lead coupled to the patient, classifying the ECG waveform as normal or not normal, aligning, the first oscillation pulse to the ECG waveform corresponding to the first heartbeat if the ECG waveform is classified normal or rejecting the first oscillation pulse if the ECG waveform is classified not normal, and calculating the blood pressure using the aligned first oscillation pulse. Related apparatus, systems, methods and/or articles are described.
Abstract:
Data is received characterizing an electrocardiogram (ECG) measured from a patient having a pacemaker. The pacemaker can intermittently provide a pace to a heart of the patient. By comparing at least a portion of the received data to a template a pace pulse can be detected from at least a portion of the received data. The template comprises one or more pace pulses measured from the patient. The template is modified, at least in part, by the detected pace pulse to update the template. Data characterizing the detected pace pulse is provided. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
Abstract:
A system includes a low pass-filter and a Savitzky-Golay filter. The low-pass filter receives and processes a first electrocardiogram signal. The filter removes at least the high frequency components of the first electrocardiogram signal. The Savitzky-Golay filter estimates a baseline variation of the first electrocardiogram signal from the filtered first electrocardiogram signal. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
Abstract:
A patient monitoring device and method that determines and monitors at least one patient parameter is provided. A configuration processor generates configuration information in response to a first input signal and an adaptive notch filter receives a second input signal. The second input signal includes a signal of interest and an interference signal in a predetermined frequency range. The adaptive notch filter automatically estimates the interference signal within the second input signal based on a filter parameter and removes the estimated interference signal from the second input signal to generate a target signal. A step processor is electrically coupled between the configuration processor and the adaptive notch filter and sets a value of the filter parameter based on the configuration information, wherein the adaptive notch filter uses the filter parameter to reduce a ringing artifact on the target signal below a threshold level.

In one example, a system for managing power states can include a processor to detect a power state transition operation and detect historical callback information for each of a plurality of drivers of the system. The processor can also sort the plurality of drivers into a plurality of driver groups based on the historical callback information and execute the power state transition operation by transmitting a plurality of power state instructions for each driver to a plurality of processors based on the plurality of driver groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of implementing resource scheduling for MTC devices, the base station assigns multiple machine type communication (MTC) devices to a group, and allocates to each device a sequence number of the group respectively, informs each corresponding device of the sequence number of the device, allocates a resource set for the group, and transmits indication information, indicating the resource set, to each device via broadcast signaling, wherein, the sequence number is used to indicate the resource, in the resource set, used by the device. A MTC device determines the resource, in the resource set, used by the device based on the sequence number. The embodiment of the invention can save the overhead of MTC resource scheduling.
