Abstract:
The invention is a solid chemical concentrate system of at least two cooperative shapes. The first shape is an inwardly curved bar having an inner opening. The second shape is an insert which is capable of interlocking with the bar by insertion into the bar inner opening. The solid chemical concentrate provides chemical systems having active constituents which may be the same, different but compatible or functionally and chemically incompatible combined within one matrix to provide at least one substantially continuous surface. The system may also comprise an aqueous soluble or dispersible polymeric film cover.
Abstract:
A unit dose package dispenser (1) including a drawer (13) and ramp (7) such that unit dose packages are urged through an aperture (10) and into the drawer (13). The ramp (7) is elevated from the bottom region (6) of the container (1) so as to isolate the contents of the container from moisture. A cover (14) formed integrally with the container front wall (4) tends to protect the contents of the drawer (13) from moisture in the surrounding environment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for diluting liquid concentrate materials to liquid use solutions. An aspirator system (16) is adapted to receive a container (11a) of liquid concentrate in a reservoir (10). The reservoir contains means (13) to open the liquid concentrate. Additionally the reservoir contains means to support the liquid concentrate during addition of concentrate to the reservoir. When empty, the liquid concentrate bottle can be placed in a reservoir for the empty container (11b). The receiver has filling means for the container that can deliver dilute use solution to the container. The liquid concentrate container and the dilute use solution container are substantially identical. The apparatus is controlled using a flow controller (14) that activates liquid diluent causing the liquid diluent to pass through the aspirator drawing concentrate at a fixed dilution ratio. The aspirator can be used in a station with multiple apparatus, each adapted to a particular liquid concentrate and dilute use solution. The typical container for such a station comprises a plastic bottle (11) having a fitment adapted to the receiver opening means. The preferred container for the liquid concentrate contains a fitment comprising a closure for the bottle opening having impressed into the closure a circular indent operatively connected with a thick hinge member. When inserted into the reservoir, the opening means causes the fitment to fail at the circular indent resulting in a clean separation of the circular portion from the closure permitting the contents of the concentrate container to drain into the reservoir.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a clinic sink system and method for precleaning soiled articles, such as diapers, hand towels, washcloths, personal linens, general bed linens, and bedpans soiled with human waste products. A method is provided which is capable of precleaning soiled articles prior to cleaning in a conventional washing machine. In a preferred embodiment, odors may be controlled by introducing a deodorizing agent into solution with water sprayed from a dispenser onto an article, and disease may be controlled by introducing a sanitizing agent into the solution. A preferred dispenser (10) for use therewith includes a container (18) and a base (12) which form a substantially sealed reservoir. Such a dispenser is capable of providing a controlled concentration of chemical product in solution.
Abstract:
A general purpose detersive system and detersive system useful in warewashing and in laundry processes have been developed in which highly active encapsulated halogen sources have been incorporated into cast, solid detersive systems containing oxidizable organics that are highly reactive with the active chlorine sources. The stability of the detersive systems thus formulated has been shown to be sufficient to permit the cast materials to be storage stable for a sufficient period to permit the manufacture, distribution, sale and consumption of the cast materials before the availability of either the organic materials or the active halogen drops below an effective level.
