Abstract:
A catalyst and process for hydrodesulfurizing naphtha feedstreams wherein the reactor inlet temperature is below the dew point of the feedstock at the reactor inlet so that the naphtha will completely vaporize within the catalyst bed. The catalyst is comprised of about 1 to about 10 wt.% MoO3, about 0.1 to about 5 wt.% CoO supported on a suitable support material. They are also characterized as having an average medium pore diameter from about 60 ANGSTROM to 200 ANGSTROM , a Co/Mo atomic ratio of about 0.1 to about 1.0, a MoO3 surface concentration of about 0.5 x 10 to about 3.0 x 10 g MoO3/m , and an average particle size of less than about 2.0 mm in diameter.
Abstract:
Hydrogen cyanide is removed from an HCN containing synthesis gas, CO + H2, by contact with a metal oxide catalyst comprised of the oxides of molybdenum, titanium and aluminum in the presence of water vapor, and subsequently water washing the resulting synthesis gas.

Abstract:
Hydroconversion of paraffin containing hydrocarbon feeds is effected over a supported Group VIII and Group VI metal containing catalyst also containng a hydrocracking suppressant such as a Group IB metal, wherein the catalyst is preferably prepared by fixing the Group IB metal onto the support prior to incorporating the Group VI metal onto the support.
